Zabdiel The Christmas break flew by fast, unfortunately, and with tomorrow night being New Year's, I was going back to the airport to fly to New York, this time with my mom tagging along. After getting through security and dealing with our luggage, we went to wait by our gate.
There, Vanessa was sitting with a tray of cups, and when she saw us, she stood up. "Les compré café."
My mom looked at Vanessa with a smile and grabbed the cup before embracing her in. hug. "Gracias, Nessa. Eres un ángel."
"Buenos días, amol." I wasted no time in embracing, because after a week of not seeing her, it was very much needed.
"Buenos días, cutie." I felt her lips against my cheek right before she pulled away and gave me my cup. "They didn't have the same drinks as Miami, so I had to get one similar to the one you usually get."
"Gracias." The two of us went to sit beside my mom, so I was in between her and Nessa. "Hey, estás llevando mi regalo."
"Oh, puedo ver tu collar?" I had to lean back into my seat to let my mom lean over and see the gift I got Vanessa. "Qué linda. Zabdiel da los mejores regalos."
"Flight number 6291 to New York City is now boarding."

Theflight was a little less than 4 hours, so there wasn't really any sleeping done. Instead, Vanessa brought Uno cards. I fell asleep after like an hour, so I think her and my mom talked for the rest of the time, but they wouldn't tell me. "Compartieron secretos sobre mí?"
"No todo es sobre ti, cariño." My mom told me, patting my shoulder as she walked ahead of me to get her bags.
"Yeah, Zabdi. Don't be selfish." Vanessa teased, following my mom's actions and wrapping her blanket around her shoulders.
"No estoy selfish." I mumbled, going to catch up with her.
Surprisingly, the baggage claim didn't take long, so with the hotel information Clara sent out, we left the airport. However, the second we got near the doors, we were instantly exposed to the freezing temperature outside. A big change from our country, and I don't think Nessa was liking it that much because she pulled her beanie and blanket tighter over her head.
We eventually got into a car with a heater and were driven to our hotel where we met a few of the guys and their families. Joel brought a few family members, and I think we were the only two that did. "Nessa, you're back!"
Running pass me like I wasn't even there, Joel gave Nessa a hug while my mom went to go talk to Joel's family.
"Estoy aquí también."
Joel pulled away from Nessa and said, "Yo sé." before hugging me in the clingy way he usually does. "When everyone gets here, Clara said we can walk around because we don't have to do anything until tomorrow morning."
"Nessa, ven aquí."
"Oh, you have to go meet the moms. Have fun."
