The apartment door opened and once I heard it shut, I threw my arms up in front of the Christmas tree I just set up to greet Mirabella and Astrid. "Merry Thanksmas!"Rather than appreciating my enthusiasm, Mirabella point at a picture on the tree. "Why would you put a turkey on a Christmas tree?"
"Because it's Thanksgiving, duh." I told them, dropping my arms and walking over to turn off the lights that are wrapped around the tree. "Anyways, I'm going to Martín's house with his friends because they don't celebrate Thanksgiving and 2 of them went back home."
"Who doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving?"
"They aren't from America, pendeja. They don't care about a white man stealing land."
I nodded my head and watched as Mirabella looked the ceiling in thought. "Anyways, I'm leaving in an hour."
"Are you bringing food over there?"
I hummed and nodded my head, but I was busy moving some of the ornaments on the tree to actually turn around and look at them. "I kinda promised to bring food or at least make food when I go over."

After knocking on the front door, the first person to greet me was Christopher. "Nessa, estás de vuelta!" He laughed, right before picking me up in a bear hug.
"Hola, Christopher. Puedes ayudarme con la comida en mi carro?"
At the mention of food, Chris set me back on the ground and ran to my Jeep to start getting as much as he could out of the back seat. "Le dijiste que trajiste comida?"
I turned around and looked up at Martín, or Zabdiel. Martín kinda stuck so now it's still weird for me to actually say his real name. I nodded my head and reached over to hug his waist. "Dónde está Erick?"
"A la casa de sus padres. His mom said she has food for him." I nodded my head and watched Chris cautiously run into the house with everything I had left in the car piled up against his chest or hanging from his forearms. "At least now we don't have to eat pizza."
Christopher nodded his head, but then looked awsy from the food he set on the counter to look around the living room. "Espera, dónde está Bubbles?"
"Bubbles?"
"Ella es nuestro perra." Chris answered. Both him and Zabdiel started calling out her name and whistling and I assumed she was a small dog with how they were crouching down.
While they did that, I heard scratching, so I went to the front door. When I opened it, a tiny dog with a pink collar looked up at me and tilted her head. "Aww, que linda." I coo'd. I slowly bent down, so she wouldn't run away, and carefully picked her up. "I found her. I think."
Christopher popped his head up from behind the couch, and watched as I walked over while petting the small animal. "Bubbles, you're supposed to use the dog door."
About an hour after I came over to their house, Chris, Zabdiel and I were playing video games. "Chris get off of me, no puedo ver!" I yelled.
"Stop trying to kill me then!"
Zabdiel shook his head at the both of us, but made no effort to get Chris off of my lap. "That's the point of the game, papa."
Seconds later, the game cut out and on 2 of the 3 screens, the words "Eliminated" were floating. Chris and I both looked to Zabdiel, but he just shrugged and continued to eat some of the food I had brought over.
"Que puto." I mumbled, putting the controller down onto the table. "What do we do now?"
The three of us just looked at one another in silence, not really having a plan. "Quieres ver nuestros funciónes?"
"Aren't those like, expensive?"
"They're free on YouTube."
And here we are, 5 minutes later, live on Christopher's Instagram. "I bet I could learn these dances right now." I said aloud.
"Wait that's a girl voice"
"hay una chica en la casa??""Cállate those dances took us hours."
I kinda just stared at Chris for doubting me, but Zabdiel popped up beside me and started looking up something on YouTube on the TV.
I was watching the screen for something to pop up while Zabdiel browsed when I heard Christopher talking. "Ella es mi nueva amiga, pero un poquito molesta." Picking up the pillow beside me, I chucked it as hard as I could at the back of his head and made him shriek. "See, she's so mean to me." Chris fake cried into the camera.
"Este video."
"Ay papá, now you're just trying to get views." Christopher commented, his live stream still going.
I shook my head and stood up from the couch. "No, I got it. Play the video again."
Zabdiel watched me in confusion as I stood in front of the TV. "No quieres verlo otra vez?"
Again, I shook my head. "I've been dancing almost my entire life, so I learn fast."
As the video ended, I stood in front of everyone and bowed when the front door opened. "Nessa, me dijiste that you stopped dancing!"
"Erick!" I cheered, rushing over to hug the young boy that was watching Chris' live stream on his own phone. "And no, te dijiste that I stopped taking classes."
"No fair, that dance took us like 3 hours to learn." Chris complained. "Show off."
This was supposed to be posted a long ass time ago but this bitch named school decided to make me busy right before finals
