Blood Ties

Chapter 7

Her eyes flew open. 

It was all a dream.

 It was so real though.

Reality hit her hard when she remembered what really happened the day before. 

*flashback *

"let's go destroy the worthless bastard who cursed my mother... "

"titan-" 

He brushed past her before she could finish what she was saying. She felt a chill run down her spine. It hit her that the anxiety of the whole ordeal was gone and all that was left was anger. His worry for his mother was his main emotion throughout the situation, but it was suppressing his underlying rage. 

Titan walked out of the room and slammed the door. Lucas stared after him in amusement while Athy internally fought with herself. 

Her eyes became slightly duller at the thought of what Titan would be going through. She herself didn't know the feeling of almost losing a parent so she wouldn't know what it would be like. But if something happened to Lilly....

Or even Papa...

She didn't want to think about it.

Titan stomped through the hallway. 

He was fine a moment ago, why was he feeling so many emotions now? 

His throat was closing in and he could feel his magic about to burst. 

He was so engrossed in his thoughts that he didn't realize someone was heading towards him from behind. 

He started when someone put a hand on his shoulder. He was so startled, magic lightning enveloped his arm and he swung back to attack. A hand grabbed his and held it in a firm grip. His magic disappeared instantly in the grip of the other person. 

"you should really control that"

"oh it's you... "

"yeah its me. Get a hold on those powers before you hurt someone" Lucas chastised.

"yeah... " Titan said dryly. 

"training"

Titan cocked a brow. Lucas clicked his tongue.

"controlling your magic is crucial to surviving as a royal"

'never asked to be one' he thought. 

"stop whining and complaining. If you're going to get stronger you have to learn how to harness it properly, not everytime your emotions spike"

Titans eyes widened. How did he know what he was... 

"what about Athy? "

Lucas blinked at him. 

"doesn't she need training?"

Lucas smirked. 

"she's too weak too do anything with her magic right now. That's why I'm here"

Titan blinked at him. Was he worried? 

"what? "

"I don't know, you just seemed concerned with her safety"

"as if" Lucas scoffed. His eyes flicked to the door. 

He smiled a bit. Those two have an interesting relationship. 

Titan heard the door open. He looked and saw Athy run at them.

"so what's the plan?"

Titan looked at her oddly. 

"the plan to catch the castor"

His eyes became serious. He looked down at his hands and clenched them. 

"we track them down and get as much information as we can"

Athy realized how silly it seemed that a few kids had such a heavy objective as catching a black magic castor. But then again...the only 'actual' kid here was Titan. But he seemed the most eager to find them.

The shop was quiet but for the two men conversing.

"you did as I asked?"

"yes master..."

"is the boy playing his role? "

"without a single hitch... "

"excellent" he smiled a malicious smile. 

"may the game begin..."

The house groaned in protest at the dark magic being leaked.
