Epilogue
Sorry this is so short, I just wanted to get to the point.
5 years later
"Don't worry about Derek, he is such a jerk" Alicia says from the other end of the phone. "Do you think you will be alright? You really do need some sleep before you go to Hawaii." She says
"Yeah I'll be alright,you soon, alright?" I say.
Alright, bye Ava, see you when you get back" and with that she hung up. I could talk for years about how Derek broke my heart, but I am moving on. I don't want to go to to Hawaii and be sad and miserable, I want to be happy. Maybe I'll even find someone new. I suddenly think of my last holiday to Hawaii, I think of Ethan.
~~~~~~~~~~
"Welcome to Hawaii, enjoy your stay" the loud speaker says.
I grab my luggage and head to my hotel.
~~~~~~~~~~
"Yes I had a great time in Hawaii, Alicia. It was a ball." I reply
"Any... Men?" She asks.
"Um, sadly... No" I say slowly.
"Too bad, anyway I gotta go, bye" she says.
"Bye" I reply, and I hang up.
I get my things and drove to the grocery store. There is only one thing in my mind, Ethan. I know it was five years ago but there was something about him that was special. And I also know I'm a woman now and we were kids back then, but that doesn't make me wish a had of seen him less. There is a part of me that keeps of wondering what could have been.
I'm walking down the bread aisle looking for the highest fibre bread, when my crash my trolley into another trolley.
"Sorry" I say, I look up and see a pregnant lady, I feel even worse.
"It's alright" she replies with a smile, at least she's a nice pregnant lady.
I notice a man is next to her so I look over at him to make sure he isn't raging over our collision.
He has a shocked face, I wonder why. That's when I notice it's Ethan.
"Ava, is that you?" He asks.
"Yes" I say shyly, realising he has a pregnant freaking lady right next to him.
"Ava, it's so great to see you! You look smoking."
I can feel my face turn red, his partner is standing right next to him and he is calling me smoking. What is wrong with him?
She turns around and glares at him.
"That would be my queue to leave" the blond, pretty pregnant woman says as she swings her trolley around, nearly hitting Ethan, and strolls it away.
"Sooooo, is she your girlfriend, or partner?" I ask awkwardly.
"What about, none of the above" he replies with a smirk.
"What?" I ask confused.
"She's my sister, I'm visiting her, you know so I can see the baby once it is born."
"Oh" I say. "So that means your..."
"Single, yes. Though I'd find it quite surprising if you were aswell." He replies.
"Well, actually just came out of a relationship." I say with a smile.
"Feel my shirt" he says.
"Wha---"
"Just feel it" he says.
I put my hand on his shirt, I can feel hard abs underneath.
"Can you feel that?" He asks.
"What your abs? I ask.
"No silly" he replies. "Still Boyfriend Material"
Thanks for reading! If you would like to know more about Ethan and Ava's relationship then make sure to read 'The Dark Side'. It is my next book and it isn't based on them but they will be appearing in it soon. It is about a girl called Alicia (she appeared earlier in this chapter) and her journey in the supernatural world.
Once again thanks for reading xx
