The date | Chapter 6

3rd person POV
It was the next day and of course Kaito left after they studied. Maki woke up earlier than usual to a loud text from her job

Maki's POV
I look at the text that woke me up why was it so loud anyway? And it told me my next target, I had the option to decline or accept the victim and i always accept it and get the return of money, but the text stated

[This is for the client Maki Harukawa, your next target is the College Student, Kaito Momota majoring in astronautics
Type A to accept or D to decline]

I decline the mission of course but right after i called the agency. "Cmon pick up pick up pick UP!" I groan. "Hello, YES THIS IS MAKI HARUKAWA, ahem, i have called to ask about the victim Kaito Momota, college student majoring in astronautics. Yes. Uhm why is he a victim? HE WAS REQUESTED- if you dont mind me asking but by who? Please! Im the top rank i deserve to know! Ugh please! really? THANK YOU SO MUCH, ill hang up now uh bye!" I hang up and quickly get ready for class.

Mumbling to myself I make it to class and sit next to Kaito thinking of the situation. "Uh Makiroll?" He pokes my cheek "Hm what?" I perk my head up looking at him. "You have bags under your eyes-" He pointed out to me. "Oh right" I respond and somehow sound tired? He then whispered into my ear "Can you try to set up a date with shuichi and I?" He asked politely. "Why should i?" i ask in annoyance. "You know exactly why, makiroll" he pointed out, "right..." i rub my eyes "Fine fine" i give in. "Thank you so much makiroll!" he whispered to me in excitement, "Yeah yeah no biggie"

After class I catch up with Shuichi and Kaede, "Hey Shuichi!" I wave "Hm oh hey maki" he mumbled, he was a shy kid. "Do you think you would be interested in going on a date with Kaito?" I ask politely. "I dont see why not, so sure" He told me blushing, I understand why kaito likes him now, surprised kaede hasnt tried anything.

I go over to Kaito and i give him the good news. "He said yes" I told him in a monotone voice "Really?! Thank you so much makiroll!" he hugged me tightly "How'd you do it?" He asked, "I have my ways" I lied, "Well you're the best!"

We eventually rearranged the date and time at a restaurant for them two, and i suddenly get a text
[The victim Kaito Momota has been accepted by %#/<0]

Which was someone elses codename. I now have no choice but to follow him tonight. That sounded wrong- And whats worse is the amount of money they earn from it, 1 mil. ONE MILLION.

Knowing the time they meet up which is around 7:00 pm of course, i left at 6:30, black outfit with no dangles and of course my cloak. I hide at the roof of the restaurant keeping watch. I then see Kaito show up the Shuichi right after. Still looking i finally see a shadow of a person and a sniper from afar. "Found'em" I mumbled to myself as i snuck over to the next building.

I get to the building and i close the door but it made a big creak, the shadow turns to me quickly "shit..." i mumble
