Chapter 14 Catch Me

Jennie’s POV

He kissed me and I kissed him back, I lost in his arms. Three days had past after our heated kiss. On the past few days he shows his sweet side, we ate lunch together, he evenly drive me home after work and I’m still pretending as her girlfriend to his bestfriend because he explained to me that Zayn seems has interesting in me since the first time he saw me. I just laughed back to my mind for his unexpected reason. Although he was right, I just can’t imagine how possessive he was. I smiled at the thought.

But something bothering me, I don’t know what really our score. He never asked to court me and he just told me that he liked me. He never asked if I liked him back. ‘You kissed him back what do he expect huh!?’ yeah right! Maybe he thinks I like him too because I kissed back and I didn’t push him away. OMG Jennie you fool sometimes.

I can’t lie to myself that I liked him too. What now? We have no label. What if fall deeper, is he willing to catch me? What if he will leave me after he gets what he wants like the other girls he dated? I cringed at the thought of playing my heart.

Today is my day off and I’m planning to visit Mr. Lee since the day I hired, I never had a chance to thank him formally exactly I will meet Jisoo unnie after. He also offers me to be model for the company but I declined it for my parents.

My boss didn’t know that I’m at the company today; he just knew that I’m resting right now.

“Good morning Mr. Lee” I greeted him as I bowed. Then he signal me to sit

“Good morning too Miss Kim” he smiled as he sits.

“Today is your day off right? Is there a problem?” I can see the concern in his eyes.

“Yes it’s my day off and there’s no problem sir. I came here to formally thank you for giving me a chance to work here. I’ve been busy this past few weeks that’s why I never thank you formally as early when I got hired.” As I put the cake “Here I bought you cake sir. I know it’s a simple treat but-” he cut me off

“Miss Kim you don’t need to do this. I appreciate your effort but it’s not necessary. I’m glad that I helped you” he smiled “And you know what, I’ll be the one thank you for Leon” he continues. He sense that my questioning look, “Because you changed Leon from being brat and cold.” he chuckled. I left dumfounded by what he said

“Jennie don’t hurt him. I’m telling you this because for the past few years since his father died, he became cold hearted to everyone except for me, his sister and childhood friends. He treated all the girls he flings as a trash and most of all, he never believed in Love. And I sensed that you’re the first girl who can make him smile and inspire again. I can see in his eyes, the way he treated you is far different from the way he treated others.” He continues. I can see the sadness in his face while he’s talking about Leon’s past.

I’m still prying why he never mention Leon’s mother but I think I’m not in the right position to ask maybe it’s complicated, “I’m also curious sir, why he's acting differently this past few weeks maybe he realize something. And I guess I’m not the reason” I can’t tell that Leon confessed that he liked me. I just wanna know first if he truly liked me.
“I know you still didn’t get what I want to pertain but as I told you from the very start Leon has soft side that you didn’t expect that he experienced all of it. I hope someday he is the one who will tell you the whole story. ” he smiled at me with positivity in his eyes

“Hope so sir.” I smiled back as I stood up. “I need to leave Mr. Lee. Thank you for given me enough time to personally thank you.” I said as I bow to him.

He stood up and lead me to the door, “Your always welcome to my office Miss Kim” he said as he opened the door for me.

But before he closed the door, “Remember this Jennie, don’t afraid to fall for him. Someday if he realize what a real love is, he will sacrifice everything just to catch you.” I smiled at the thought then nodded before I finally leave.

I’m at Jisoo’s workplace, we ate together at lunch. I told her everything about our conversation with Mr. Lee. But I couldn’t told her the last part. It’s not I can’t trust her or even Mr. Lee. It just that I don’t assume anything and I want to assures one thing first.
