ZOLI POV
Leo has lost his damn mind. But I couldn't really focus on that mess at the moment. My kids wanted to go to the fair that was in town. Hunter has been reminding me everyday. And well today he wanted to make sure we were going.
"Come on let's go!" I yelled.
Hunter came racing down the stairs almost tripping. I shook my head. "Hey mom" he smiled,
"Where's the rest?" I asked. Before he could answer I heard more foot steps coming down the stairs. The twins came next with full blown attitude. I didn't even bother to ask. Then sweet Caleb came down and he went straight for hunter.
Waiting for jade to finally make her appearance but she was taking long time. "Hunter where is jade?" I asked.
He shrugged "you know she's a beast so it'll take her longer to put her face on".
Shaking my head "lord".
Finally minutes later jade came down the stairs in her face full of makeup. Closing my eyes I mentally counted to ten.
"I'm ready!" She said.
"Wow jade! I know makeup is suppose to make people prettier but I guess it gave you the opposite effect. You should go get your money back" hunter said.
"Shut up, stupid" she said.
"Jade you are not going outside looking like your an adult... when you're only a teen. Not happening" I said.
"Oh come on mom! Didn't you wear makeup when you were my age?" She asked.
"No I didn't! So go take it off! Now!" I said. Jade pouted and slowly made her way back upstairs to wash her face. Damn girl is a young teen and she wants to go outside looking like she makes her own decisions and pays bills. What's wrong with these kids today?.
Ten minutes later she came back down stairs in her bare face. Hunter turned to her and jumped "Jesus jade. Next time warn me".
Jade tan after him outside, the other three followed and so did I. In the car I put in summer walkers album and sang along. "Mom?!" Jade yelled. Turning down the volume "what?".
"You know dad doesn't like when you listen to her" she said.
"And I care? It's my car" I said.
"Well he says anytime you listen to her you tend to want to have some crazy ideas" she said.
"Jade tell dad... don't hate" I smiled.
"Mom just pull over" hunter said.
"Why?!" I asked.
"So jade can get out. She has four legs she can meet us at the fair" he said.
"Mom I'm this close...." she warned staring at hunter.
Pulling into the fair the kids were excited. They got out and ran over to the ticket booth. Walking around with them I watched as they went on the rides. Hearing my phone I saw it was FaceTime.
"Hello?".
"Hey sweetheart! How's the fair?" Alex asked.
"It's cute! The kids are having fun" I said.
"Good, how are you?" He asked.
"I'm fine. How's work?" I asked.
"You know... I rather be there with you" he smiled.
"Aww poor baby" I teased.
Alex pretended to cry "this baby needs some love".
"I can't with you!" I laughed.
He smiled and blew me a kiss! "I'll see you later". The call ended. The kids wanted me to go on the swings with them. I'm that parent who loves going on rides with the kids. We all got on the line and waited. Hearing someone clear their throat... it made me look.
When I saw who it was... I rolled my eyes. Here we go.
"Well... well... well... look who we have here" I heard.
Not paying him any mind I stared straight ahead with the kids in front of me. That's when I saw a girl approach jade and it seemed as if they know one another. That voice came closer "Camilla?! I didn't know you knew Jade".
"Yeah she's in my class" Camilla said.
This would happen.
"Zoli? It's rude not to say hello" Leo smiled.
"Go away" I said.
"How rude! But I get it. Alex must've told you what I asked him for" he said.
"That's not happening" I said. Feeling his eyes all over me "too bad..."
"If you don't get away from me I won't hesitate to lace you up infront of these people" I warned.
"Zoli... honey you don't scare me. If anything you make me horny as hell. But scaring me... no" he said.
When the line started moving I quickly pushed my kids to walk. Hoping to lose this idiot. But no, he was close behind to the point he sat right behind me. Jade and Camilla sat together as well.
The ride was cool. It made me forget about Leo for the moment until it was over. Then reality hit. Grabbing jade and pulling her with me so that Camilla wouldn't follow us. No offense but Leo was annoying.
"Mom who was that guy?" Hunter asked.
"An annoying being" I said.
"He seems a little odd" he said.
"Oh he is... but don't worry about him" I said.
Why is it every time our life is good... something has to come and mess it up. Wasn't Leo on our side at one point? Or was it a mask? Alex will be hearing about this crap.
