As I followed the sounds of the voice, I soon found myself staring at a huge man who was unnaturally very tall. I back at James who was pushing my wheelchair,
"Hey James, who's that guy in front of us? Is he a professor here?" I asked
"Yeah, his names Hagrid, Hogwarts gatekeeper and Care of Magical Creatures teacher," James replied. He seemed to be more casual now compared to what he was like on the train. A couple of minutes later I found myself sitting outside two gigantic doors,
"That's the entrance to the great hall, I'm gonna be pushing you inside and after you're settled I'll be off to my table," James said. A while later after I was settled James left to go into the great hall. As another professor came out I learned that he was Professor Longbottom. As he scanned the area, his eyes landed on me and I could see a look of surprise flash in his eyes as he slowly started approaching me.
"Hello there, I'm Professor Longbottom and I presume that you are Axel?" he asked, I nodded.
"Well then, I'll be helping you with your sorting and everything else until we get a chance to have Madame Pomfrey take a look at you. Which will probably be after the sorting." Professor Longbottom announced.
A couple of minutes later, I found myself in front of the sorting hat and awaiting my turn,
"Dursley, Axel!" Announced Professor Longbottom, I felt nervous but after I had been rolled up to the hat Professor Longbottom had picked it up and placed it on my head,
'Please don't let me be in a bad house' I thought over and over inside of my head. I heard a voice that seemed only to be inside my head,
"Not a bad house aye? Hmmm then... Hufflepuff!" The hat belted only the last word out to the rest of the great hall. I smiled, relieved as I was rolled away. I looked around to see a boy walking towards me,
"Hey! You're Axel, right? Well I'm Zach and I'm gonna be in charge of taking you to Madame Pomfrey, you'll be on your feet in no time!" Zach said cheerfully as he took my wheelchair from James who had helped me over until this point.
"Thanks," I said sheepishly
"No problem!" Zach replied with a smile.
A few minutes later I was on my feet again and I was practically jumping around the place. I felt so glad to be off the wheelchair that I was smiling nonstop. Zach seemed to also feel my joy and also couldn't help but smile. Apparently he was also a first-year that had gotten sorted before me and he was in Hufflepuff too! I could already tell with a glimpse that we would be great friends. As we ran off to join the others once again in the Great Hall, I felt like this was the best day of my life. Little did I know it wasn't going to last very long...
