Chapter 13

All Amelia and Skylar saw were the glowing eyes. It was pitch black, no one else was in the parking lot of the rest stop they were stopped at. Slowly, the girls backed away toward the impala, as the eyes got closer. They could see the outline of what belonged to the glowing eyes. It was taller than both of the girls, but it was human shaped.

That's when the creature let out a guttural growl.

It started coming toward them at an alarming pace, and they had no clue what it was. It defiantly wasn't human. It was something only their father's knew about, something they had no clue about. But that's when it started running. Gaining an alarming amount of speed as it closed in on them. And Skylar and Amelia were not even close to grabbing the handle on the impala door.

Then it jumped, landing on top of Skylar. Missing Amelia by just inches, but pushing Skylar straight to the ground. The creature was on top of her cousin's chest, and all she could hear were her cousin's high pitched screams as it tried tearing at her chest. Amelia was frozen to the spot, her fear gluing her to the spot. But she had to do something.

"Hey! What about me you son of a bitch? I'm right here too!"

The creature looked up, its eyes glaring at her with an unknown hatred. It stood up leaving Skylar lying on the ground. Amelia had gotten a quick glance at her cousin before the creature had pounced, knocking her straight to the ground.

It looked as if Skylar wasn't breathing.

Amelia saw little black spots dance across her vison. She couldn't black out now. She felt a warm feeling at the back of her head, the warmness spreading outward. The creature had busted her head open. But that's when Amelia heard what sounded like a police siren. And it sounded as if it was coming closer.

All Amelia heard before the darkness that had already been spreading in front of her closed is what sounded like yelling, and a gunshot ringing throughout the parking lot.

It had been a day and Dean hadn't heard anything. Sam had gone out and tried to follow some ideas he had come up with as to where they might be. So Dean was sitting at the kitchen table, wishing Emma was here. She'd know what to do. But when Dean had heard the phone ring, he nearly fell getting out of the chair so fast. And almost missed pressing the talk button when he saw that it wasn't Sam that was calling him.

"Dean? This is Jenna Brashear. Your wife, you and I worked a hunt together a long time ago in Missouri. But I got wind that you daughter and niece were missing."

"Yea. Why, have you seen them? Are they okay?!"

"I'm think I'm with them right now Dean. But you might want to make a road trip down here."

"Why?"

That's when Dean had noticed the beeping in the background, and what sounded like crying.

"Jenna?!"

"They were attacked by a werewolf Dean. My police unit I work in had gotten a call about a noise complaint across the street, well highway. I got there in enough time to shoot it but I didn't have silver bullets. But it was bad Dean. Both of em' were in puddles of their own blood. I called 911 right away. I'm in the ambulance right now, cause' the nearest hospital is an hour away. But I would hurry Dean. We've already had to restrain one, Amelia if I remember right, and the other we've had to shock because her heart rate plummeted, Dean. And I think Amelia just went into shock because of it"

Dean was shaking now. It took everything he had not to break right then and there.

"Which one again did you have to shock again Jenna?"
