Shoto looked at her sadly "I'm sorry you had to go through that."
"It's okay. I still got my papa and that's all that matters to me." Shyla said happily
As the two were talking Shyla's father was talking to Endeavor about what had happened. At first he wasn't so sure that he could ever allow a female near his son. But hearing that the female was learning to be like her father-he allowed her to be the exception to the rule. Shoto and Shyla were told that night that they would be living together from that day on and to treat each other well. Shyla was more than happy to be able to spend time with her new friend. As years went by the two of them went through the same type of classes and learned the same thing by their parents who were business partners.
By the time they were sixteen, Shyla felt nervous since she could feel as if something would go wrong. But that entire year nothing bad happened, so she let her guard down slightly as Shoto and her were given a mission together to see if they were able to do their job in the mafia properly. They went incognito as a couple into a party that was filled with a multitude of high ranking gang members, they were to distract the guests enough so their parents could do the dirty work. They showed up dressed in their best clothing as they acted their part very well.
Both of them not showing the other just how much they truly did care for the other. They kept at each others side and even took part in dances to keep things as 'normal' as they could. As they did Shoto had kept his eyes out for his father and hers only to see her father signal that everything went over well and to continue on as planned. He looked down at Shyla. "They did what they came here to do, we have the night to ourselves, did you want to stay here?"
"I don't mind if you don't." Shyla said as she looked up at him with a small smile on her face
He averted his eyes flustered before he sighed out. "Being here would mean being away from my father, so let's stay here till the end. I don't want to face my father right now."
"Okay, if that's what you want. I know you've been struggling to see eye to eye with your father Shoto."
Shoto looked at her sadly. "I hoped you wouldn't have noticed, it shouldn't have reached you."
"Of course it would have, your father is my father's work partner. I'm just happy to have met a wonderful hard working guy like yourself Shoto."
Shoto could feel himself getting rather flustered over the words she spoke. "You don't have to say things like that."
"Sure I do, cause it's the truth. And you should know it." She said with a smile "I'm not afraid of expressing to you just how I feel Shoto."
"Are you sure...that being around me is what you want?"
She nodded her head. "It is, that is...if you wish to have me at your side Shoto."
Shoto stopped dancing with her and walked off, giving her a silent rejection-which internally hurt her. But she didn't let it get to her, she just left the party as she saw that their father figures were arguing with one another. She then saw them pull the trigger on one another.
"PAPA!" She screamed in horror and shock before she rushed down the steps to her father, she teared up as she held his hand "Papa...look at me papa."
"It'll be okay, it's not that bad."
She shook her head. "Sure it is...you're bleeding." She said before she called for an ambulance for both males. She went into the ambulance with her father holding his hand tightly as she tried to keep him awake.
But it was for not, as it came to be morning, he was gone too much blood loss while they were attempting to get the bullet out of him. She was in tears as she heard the news about her father being dead, she walked home from the hospital. Half way there Shoto stopped her as he was in a limo. "Shyla just where have you been?"
She said nothing as she continued walking off ignoring his words, he got out of the limo and grabbed a hold of her arm making her stop and look at him. "Shyla answer me! Where were you last night?!"
Shyla shut her eyes as she tried to keep her emotions in check. "After you left me on the dance floor, I went to leave. I saw our fathers fighting. They shot one another, I managed to call an ambulance for both of them. My father died...I don't know about yours though. Now let me go."
His eyes widen hearing her speak so shakily, he pulled her into him making her refuse to be close to him as she told him to stop and to leave her alone. But he never did. "Shyla...come home with me. Please?"
"NO! GET OFF!" She said before she stepped on his foot before she rushed off
She could hear him shouting for her to stop and to come back, but she never did. She somehow managed to get herself back to where she had lived with the Todoroki family. She packed her things and she left, she didn't know where she'd go-but she knew she couldn't and wouldn't live beside Shoto anymore. As she walked with her two suit cases she had bumped into a sandy blond male with red eyes, he was going to yell at her only to see that her face was tear stained and she looked like she hadn't slept at all.
"You alright girly?"
She shook her head no. "I lost everything last night. All I have left is my things."
He groaned out as he rubbed between his eyes. "What's your name?"
"Aizawa....Shyla Aizawa." she said sadly
He stiffened a bit hearing her speak her name. "You've got to be joking me right now."
She shook her head as she got her ID out showing it to him, he looked at it before he backed away from her. "Sorry for hittin' ya."
"Why...Why are you so afraid of me?"
"Your father, he's a serious bad ass and I don't want to cross paths with his daughter."
Shyla looked down as she tried her best not to cry. "My papa....he..."
Shyla couldn't do it, she couldn't keep herself together as she tried to tell him what happened with her father. He felt rather confused but knew better than to leave a girl crying, his mother would have had his head for it. So he placed a hand on the top of her head. "Hey...it's alright. You got nowhere to go right? Why don't you stay with me and my family? We always have an open door policy for people."
She sniffled as she looked up at him. "R-Really?"
"Yeah...c'mon I'll show you where I live-I'ma about to head there myself."
She nodded her head as she thanked him before walking behind him. It was a silent and awkward walk for the both of them, when they got to where he lived he opened the door and called out to his mother. "Mom I'm back...and I have a guest."
They both then saw an elder female version of Bakugo come down from the steps. "Who did you bring this ti-...Oh shyla! It's so good to see you again sweetie! How's your parents doing these days, I haven't seen them in years."
Shyla gave the elder woman a small smile. "Hello Mrs. Bakugo, I'm sad to say that my mother is in prison for almost killing me and papa about eight years ago...and papa...he..." She said before her smile faded. "Papa is gone. Endeavor Todoroki killed him, he shot my papa right in front of me."
With those words finally out of her she sobbed into her hands, Katsuki's eyes widen in shock as he heard the words that came out of her, as did his mothers. "Oh...Oh my. Shyla dear, do you have anywhere to go?"
She shook her head. "No...I don't know where to go. I feel so alone and helpless right now." She said through her sobs
The elder female hugged her tightly. "It's okay Shyla, I can take good care of you. I promise you'll be safe here."
She sniffled as she hugged the elder female tightly back. "T-Thank you. I greatly appreciate it."
