When they got home Shoto had her sleep since he had a hunch that she hadn't slept at all, but she didn't want to sleep. Shyla didn't voice it but she was afraid of falling asleep then end up dying in it. She didn't trust those that Shoto had befriended just yet, it made her become unsettle knowing that he had people around the manor that she didn't personally know. Shoto figured something was up and took her to the room they'd be sharing and had her sit on the bed as he shut the door, locking it before leaning against it with his arms crossed.

"Tell me the truth, why aren't you resting normally Shy? We're more than just friends-you can tell me what's been keeping you from being yourself."

She looked down at her skirt as she sighed out. "Deku, Iida and Sero all make me rather unease. Plus, something about living here makes me feel unease. Like...if I were to sleep that I wouldn't wake up cause someone killed me." Shyla said unsure as she furrowed her eyebrows together

Shoto sighed and walked up to her as he cupped her face in his hand making her look up at him. "Listen here Shy, I won't allow anyone to kill you or get close to you like that. I have every intention of staying close to you and keeping you as safe as possible from thus forth."

She teared up. "Do you promise on your life Shoto?"

He gave her a small smile and nodded his head. "Of course I do, I promise you Shyla, on my very own life that I will always protect you and keep you safe from harms way."

She hugged him tightly as she cried against him, Shoto shut his eyes and hugged her back as he petted the back of her head softly. It didn't take long for Shoto to get her to sleep, he didn't leave the room at all while she slept. Instead he made sure that she'd be secure and he waited to see if he could truly trust those whom he was working with. He sent a message to Deku, Iida and Sero letting them know not to go into his room where Shyla was sleeping due to her not sleeping at all the previous night. He got replies from all of them knowing that they had all seen the message as he stayed out of plain sight of where shyla was.

It was about a half hour before the door opened and he saw Sero. His eyes narrowed as he had his gun in his hand pointing it straight at the raven haired male as the male moved closer to Shyla only for him to take out his own gun. "I don't listen to girls like you, he shouldn't have to rank me down because of you."

Shoto got out of hiding and placed his gun directly at Sero's head. "Move and I'll shoot."

Sero's eyes widen in shock. "W-What? You've got to be kidding me! You were here this entire time?"

"Of course I was, Shyla's my girlfriend. I made a promise to her that I'd always protect her. Though her fears were just since you have the intent on killing her. Do you know why she's second in command here and not you?"

"N-No..."

"It's because I grew up with Shyla, she was the only person my father had allowed around me. He and her own father planned for us to work together and end up being together. But they couldn't get their shit together enough to keep us stable around one another. I ended up losing my father the same time I ended up losing her. For years I tried to find Shyla, to make things right and to get her to see that I care a lot for her. It took me time to do that-I've never placed you in second in command. Yes you were the first to be recruited but that's about it. Shyla has always been second in command even if she's been MIA. That position will never go to you, You aren't trust worthy enough for it." Shoto said seriously

"And what makes you think you can trust her? For all you know she could have been planing your death behind your back."

"Shyla is too kind nature to do something like plan a coo against me. Yes her and I trained together, yes we grew up together. But unlike her I became cold as ice. She's still the warm loving female I knew back when I first met her. Her emotions are still very much intact which makes us being together work out well. One of us has to have the voice of reason and she's that reason." Shoto said seriously "Now back off of my girl before you get killed."

Sero went from point his gun at Shyla to him. "You can't seriously think that I'd just go with that! You never told me anything about her beforehand!"

"Of course I didn't, you didn't need to know. Plus if you actually looked around you'd see pictures of her and I around this place. She's the female who is always beside me. Year after year." Shoto said seriously "Now leave!"

Sero growled and pulled his trigger only for a trigger to be pulled on him and for him to lie on his right side. Shoto was shocked to see him go down only to see to the side of the room Shyla was half awake with a gun in her hand. "He's so damn loud, I couldn't sleep." She whined out

"I'm sorry about that Shy."

"It's okay...But I heard everything. I thank you for having so much trust in me. It makes me happy knowing that you place so much of your trust in me...even after all this time away from one another."

Shoto placed his gun down as he went to his side of the bed placing his gun on the side table as he kicked his shoes off. He then pulled her closely into him as he kissed the top of her head softly. "Of course I'd trust you, you're the only thing I have left." Shoto said softly to her.

She felt confused as she looked up at him with her hands on his chest. "What...What about your mother?"

"Suicide." He said sadly "When she heard about my father...well she completely lost it. I tried to get her to understand that things would get better but she wouldn't listen to me so...So I had to watch her kill herself right in front of me. It's why so badly I wanted to find you Shy...Why I've been so desperate to have you around me."

She hugged him tightly and nuzzled her head against his chest. "I'm not going anywhere...I promise you that I'll always be at your side. I don't want to be around anyone else Shoto. You've always been the first man I've ever placed my heart on and that still stands true here today. I want to make you just as happy as you've made me be."

He made her look up at him before he kissed her on the lips. "Don't say things like that unless you're willing to full fill those words Shyla. I don't want you to make any empty promises to me."

She went on top of him with her legs on either side of him as she kept her hands on his chest. "Shoto Todoroki...I love you enough to make you happy in any way possible. If there is something that will make you happy let me know. I want to give you the happiness that you've shown me."

Shoto shut his eyes as he took a deep breath out, then he opened his eyes again as he placed a hand on the side of her face. "Shyla, you have no idea what you've just gotten yourself into. How much restraint I've had with you since I've seen you again, how beautiful I see you as." Shoto said softly to her as he looked her deeply in the eyes.

"Well taking into consideration that I can feel you under me twitching, I can tell you've been rather nice with restraining yourself. Just you need to do something first Shoto."

"I know, hold on beautiful."

Shoto then called Deku to let him know that Sero went against the code and to take his dead body out of his room then send a letter of apology to his family letting them know how much of a disappointment he was to him. It wasn't long before Deku came by and dragged Sero's dead body out of the room and shut the door behind him. Once the door shut Shoto turned them around as he kissed her heatedly on the lips. "Your body is mine Shyla now and forever. I won't ever give you away"
