CHAPTER 24: FAMILY MATTERS

Setting: Empress Palace

The following day Emperor Zhou Tian wakes up early to visit his children in their palace to have breakfast with them. After doing his usual routine he went to his children's palace.

"Zao an (Good morning) children." Emperor Zhou Tian greeted but no one responding to him.

"Suyin... Suyin... Suyin... Where did my children go?" Emperor Zhou Tian asks.

"Wenhou (Greetings) Bi Xia Emperor Zhou Tian and Zao an (Good morning). They went to ni de shengjie (his holiness) Xinyi's palace. They said that they will have their breakfast there." Suyin replied.

"Xei xei ni (Thank you). Bring my breakfast to ni di shengjie (his holiness) Xinyi's palace." Emperor Zhou Tian said.

Emperor Zhou Tian summoned his maidservants to proceed to Xinyi's palace. He rides in a sedan chair along with his entourage. He arriveS there without being noticed.

"Wenhou (Greetings) to my family. Zao An (Good morning) children." Emperor Zhou Tian greeted. He kisses their forehead and attempting to kiss Xinyi but he moves away from him as if he has a contagious disease as if being dreaded.

"Zao an (Good morning) to you too Fuqin (Father)." They both said in unison.

"If you don't mind ni de shengjie Xinyi may I join you and our children for breakfast." Emperor Zhou Tian asks.

"Shi (Yes). After all this, your palace and you can do whatever you want." Xinyi replied sarcastically. He rolled his eyes because he really doesn't want to be here in the first place.

"Xei xei ni (Thank you) ni de shengjie (his holiness) Xinyi." Emperor Zhou Tian said.

The breakfast went awfully silent none of them talk to each other even if Emperor Zhou Tian really wants to talk especially to Xinyi. On the other hand, Xinyi wasn't paying much attention to Emperor Zhou Tian while their children were concentrating on eating their food. To break the chain of silence Emperor Zhou Tian asks his children.

"Ni ji sui (How old are you) Crown Prince Weili." Emperor Zhou Tian asks.

"Of the entire question you only have to ask our age? Well, Bi Xia (Your Majesty) Emperor Zhou Tian I'm already twenty and my didi (younger brother) Prince Zhang Wei is sixteen years of age respectively." Crown Prince Weili answered.

"I was at your age my son when I proposed to your papa Xinyi." Emperor Zhou Tian said.

"Oh! Really, how interesting is it? It sounds an interesting love story. It took you twenty years to see us but you had a life of your own, your duty, your work, duty with your b****** in your harem but haven't produced an heir to the throne with your b******... Instead, you've got fooled by your top b******. You almost Crown the fake heir to the throne. You did say you're looking for Papa Xinyi but your effort isn't enough." Crown Prince Weili.

A/N: Ouch that must have hurt the Emperor coming from his eldest son.

"Ge ge (Older brother) Crown Prince Weili. Tingzhi (Stop). You don't really know what happened to our parents why they got divorced." Prince Zhang Wei said.

"Bi zui (Shut up). Were not even born yet but I already have this vision as to what happened but its partial vision." Crown Prince Weili said.

"Don't mind ge ge (Older brother) Fuqin (Father) his just angry because of what really happens with this turn of events yesterday. He really thinks that he does not have a father figure and that he is blessed because his thought that he is a gift from most heavenly being for Papa Xinyi it turns out you're out Fuqin (Father)." Prince Zhang Wei said.
