Stepping out from the dark, his face breaks her sight. Quickly, Kalera moves toward Rome, grabbing her sword. Rome rises, but he is hurt.
"No boy. Leave him to me." She whispers.
"Kalera Don't!" Palera yells.
She looks to her as Rome growls planting his claws in the dirt, ready.
Turning to him. You're dead!
Running, and raising her right foot onto a boulder, Kalera receives a much-needed boost. Elevated from the ground, sword in the perfect position, she screams.
Ahhhhhhh!
He releases his sword just as she is above his head.
Cling!
Clash!
Thrash!
A great duel erupts as a force of a thousand dragons flow through Kalera as he falls.
"Your reign is over. Do you hear me? You are done!" Kalera screams.
Her sword blocked by his only for a moment as her force overpowers his. The point of her blade enters the surface of his chest and then Palera grabs Kalera. And two men from the darkness grab her. The three of them trying to free him.
Loosening her grip, he slides from under her.
"What are you doing? Do you know who this is?" Kalera screams.
"Calm, my child. I know him." Palera responds.
"Then why would you free him?" Kalera questions.
"We need him." Palera responds.
"No. We don't." She replies knocking the three of them to the ground.
"Kalera please." He begs.
"I am lowering my sword. You will not fight an unarmed man. You are better than that. You are better than me. Please listen. I don't wish to harm you. I wish to help you." He says.
"Help me. You wish to help no one but yourself. You are a sinister creature this world needs no longer." She responds.
"You are right. This world does not need me, but this realm does. Like it or not, I am the King. Please just hear me out." He begs.
"I refuse. Kindo'op!" She declares.
"Yes. I am a murderer and an evil man, but I am not as the one who will kill us all." Like it or not you need me." He says.
"What I need is to thrust my sword through your throat and watch as you choke on your own blood for the blood of every innocent you have ever taken from this world." She counters.
Turning to Palera. You are truly lost if you think you can trust him.
"Your grandmother fought to rid this world of his line. Where did it get her? Where did it get the dragons? Gone. A distant memory." Palera cries.
"No. You are wrong. Many have believed in you. I believed in you. You coward on this mountain as the world is in shambles. You could have changed everything. But you didn't." Kalera screams.
"You don't understand. It is not that simple." She responds.
"I understand enough." Kalera replies.
The two men move to assist Ager with his wound as Kalera grabs the eggs and take Rome to a corner. she had to cool down for she is in a time of great stress. No part of her would ever trust Ager, let alone work with him. But Palera was convinced for whatever reason.
