"I'm sorry miss."
"No, I don't believe you."
"I am so sorry."
"He can't.. No. No. No."

3 years earlier
I ran down stairs hoping to see pancakes and orange juice waiting on the table.
Nope, just a bowl of cereal. Great way to start the day.
"Love you mom!" I yelled still chewing my Lucky Charms as I walked out the door.
The cold wind blowed my curled blonde hair out of my face as I stepped outside. I heard the leaves crunching under my feet. The crisp fall air. I love it.
As I walked in the school doors I brushed the leaves off my coat and walked with pride. I was quite proud of myself for actually trying to look decent today. I had on my brown boots, black leggings, a white sweater, and my hair curled. Hell I even did my make-up.
"Hey Sophie."
"Hey Madi, what's up?"
"Are you going to the Halloween party tonight at Jack's?"
"I didn't know he was having one. I'll try to make it."
"Okay see you there!"
Madi totally ignored the fact that I said I would try to go. She is my best friend, maybe that was her way of telling me you're going or I'll slit you throat.
I guess I can go. It's better than sitting at home and doing nothing. But I ain't dressing up. Maybe a little mask or something but that's it.
