Ch. 22: Festival Madness

The time has come, the Sports Festival is finally here. Only a week after the incident with Mirio. Everyone is sitting in the stands, watching the fights as Kitsuki is staring at his arms, mumbling to himself and having a small panic attack as Kaminari and Kirishima try to calm him down. "Hey, deep breaths man, you'll be alright." Kaminari assures while patting Kitsuki on the back. Kirishima stands up and walks away to find Katsuki, leaving Mina and Kaminari to deal with the panicking blonde. "Easy Kitsuki, nothing's gonna happen ok? I promise." Mina says as she smiles and lays her head on his shoulder as the announcer yells. "Next up is Kitsuki Bakugo from class 1-A vs. Karanagi Psunoma from class 1-C. Please head to the arena!" Kitsuki heard his name and lets out a long sigh as he stands up and slight arcs of red lighting jolt out of his eyes. "Wish me luck." He says as he begins walking away and into the tunnel. "Young Kitsuki!" Someone calls as he glances back to see All Might running towards him. "What's up, All Might?" Kitsuki asks, tilting his head. "I just want to wish you luck. This Karanagi girl is no joke, her quirk is a direct counter to your quirk as well as StormBreaker One For All. You lose in strength but you win in smarts. I'll be watching from the Teacher's Lookout. Be safe." Kitsuki smiles and nods as All Might walks away and he looks out of the gate at the gleaming sun and the crowd as his name is called. "Here goes nothing." As he walks out and the crowd begins cheering as he walks up the stairs onto the arena. "I have to fight a cocky blonde? Ew, so disgusting." The girl snorts in disgust as Kitsuki gives her a cold look and crosses his arms. "You're lucky I'm respectful, otherwise you would already be in the ground. Let's get this over with." Kitsuki unzips the jacket of his gym uniform and pops his shoulder and neck as he focuses his eyes forward and a small beam of red light shoots through his eyes. The announcer yells "GO!" As the gun shoots, both students take off at each other. Karanagi throws her hands forward and spikes of rock start rising out of the ground towards Kitsuki as he uses an explosion to launch himself into the air. "A rock quirk huh? You Cementoss' love child or something?" Kituski teases as he launches down and axe kicks one of the spikes and then spins around and kicks the shards back towards her. The girl grunts in anger as she creates a wall of rock to block the shards as Kitsuki lands as he spins around like a ballerina and uses explosions to spin faster as the smoke and explosions form a tornado as he starts moving towards the wall, eventually kicking the wall and shattering it completely as he uses his other leg to get Karanagi in the chest and send her flying to the side as she uses a rock pillar to stop herself. "Not bad for a dumb blonde! I was beginning to think all boys were disgusting, but you've changed my mi-WHAT THE!" The tornado subsides to reveal Kitsuki with red lightning sparking from his eyes and his fist cocked back with red lightning coursing through it.
"StormBreaker....Detroit...SMAAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!!!"
