Shout (Part 1) ☼

BABY AND THE SPIRIT SQUAD                  stood on the sidelines of the soccer field, cheering on Degrassi's boy's team.The blonde watched Spinner kick the ball down the field, until he was finally close enough to the goal where he shot and...scored!

"Yes!! Go, Spinner!" She cheered, jumping up and down from her spot

"Can you believe Spinner won the winning goal?" Manny asked Paige, cheering with the excited girlfriend.

Paige was too busy staring at some boy on the other team, and Manny's questions went right over her head.

"Paige?" Baby asked, laughing at the girl's captured attention

When she still didn't respond, Baby and Manny shrugged before running off to congratulate Spinner.

"Come to hang out with Degrassi's new MVP?" Spinner asked, as the smiling blonde approached him

"I don't know? Am I worthy enough?" Baby teased

He was about to answer, before the girl stopped him, "Never mind. Of course I'm worthy enough."

"Do you want to go see a movie with me and Paige on Saturday?" He asked

"Sure. Not that I mind, but could I ask why Paige is coming?" She laughed

"She look a bit lonely, so I thought it'd be nice." He smiled

"Sounds good. I have to do a project with JT that afternoon, but text me the times and I can do Saturday night. I'm proud of you, Spinner." Baby smiled, pulling him in for a kiss before he ran off with his teammates.

Spinner texted the Roberts girl later that night asking if she wanted to go to a party, instead. She excitedly agreed and met him and Jimmy at some guy's house.

"I can't believe I let you guys drag me too this." She groaned, though she was actually really excited

"Oh, Cmon. You always have fun with us." Jimmy argued

"Okay. Okay. That is true." She laughed

Fifteen minutes later, Jimmy, Baby, and Spinner were all jamming in a crowd of dancing kids. They took turns spinning the blonde around, until she got too dizzy and had to hold on to them to keep from falling over. They both laughed at her, but kept dancing.

BABY SAT OUTSIDE WITH SPINNER        for lunch the next day. "Do you think Paige is okay?" Spinner asked

"What do you mean?" Baby questioned, peeling an orange

"She's been acting really closed off lately, and I'm worried." He sighed

Baby started at boy for a moment, noticing the same look she had seen on the boy for the past couple of days. A look she hated, but one she couldn't blame him for. It was the same look he had for her when they first started dating, but now it was a look that belong to someone else, "You know, I think I realized something."

"What?" He asked, taking a slice of the girl's orange

"You really like Paige." She admitted, making the boy look at her in shock

"What? You're crazy. I'm dating you and I really really like you." He swore

"Spinner. It's okay, I swear. You're my first boyfriend and one of the only people I can tell anything to. I can tell when you're lying, and right now you are." Baby started, "I'll always like you, but I don't want to be the person who forces you to stay in a relationship when you might like someone else. High school is supposed to be about finding that kind of stuff out."

"So, are you breaking up with me?" He asked, looking more upset than she thought he would be

"I am, because I know it's the right thing. I don't want this to hurt our friendship, because I've known you since we were in diapers and I'm not ready to let that go." The girl smiled, making him sadly laugh

"I don't want us to lose our friendship, either." Spinner sighed, before pulling the girl in for a tight hug, scared of letting her go

She stayed with the boy in a comfortable silence, finishing the orange they had started together, before moving to go their separate ways. Both more heartbroken then they'd care to admit.

The Roberts girl trudged down the hallway, trying to find any of her friends. She spotted JT and Toby sitting on a bench, and plopped down between them.

"Hey, Baby." JT smiled, "I just cut my sleeve off ."

She looked at his cut off sleeve and sighed, "That's nice, JT."

"What's wrong?" Toby asked, noticing the girl was clearly upset

"I just broke up with Spinner." Baby admitted, resting her head on JT's shoulder

"What happened?" JT asked

"I saw the way he looked at Paige, and I could tell he had feelings for her. I'm told him it was okay, but now I don't know if I actually believe that. It hurts." The girl confessed, closing her eyes to stop herself from thinking about it

"I'm sorry, Baby. But I know what'll make you feel better." JT offered, trying to make the girl interested in something other than her heartbreak

"What?" She asked

"I'm only going tell you if you pick your head up and look at me." He added, making her roll her eyes, but lift her head off his shoulder to look at him.

"Okay. Picture this. My house. Emma, Manny, Toby, Me, and you. Movie marathon of your choice with your favorite snacks." He smiled

"JT. You don't have to do that. It's really not that big of a deal." The girl insisted, though she was really flattered by the boy's considerate suggestion

"No. You're one of my best friend, and I refuse to let you be upset. You either agree with me or I'll die." He dramatically declared

"Okay. Okay. I won't let you die." She agreed, before tackling him in a hug, "Thank you, JT."

"Don't I get a hug?" Toby laughed

"In a minute." Baby laughed, before continuing her hug with her best friend
