LAUGHING ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED to the two girls at the party the night before, Baby Roberts followed her two tired friends into the school. Baby and Emma separated to head to the library, while Manny departed to discuss something with Peter.
When the Santos girl returned, she admitted to her two best friends that she had spilt the beans to Peter about Emma's crush on him. "You told him I like him?" The Nelson girl whisper-yelled
"Sort of." Manny sighed
"So, now, instead of just being tongue-tied in front of him, I will actually have to Barf on his shoes." Emma cried
"Girl, you better not." Baby laughed at her friend's dramatics, while flipping through a textbook
"No, no. I...think he was kind of into you. I mean, I told him that you- you were lovely." Manny insisted
"Really? Well, sorry I was snotty earlier. You are so good." The taller girl giggled, quickly changing her mood around
Principle H knocked on the door, before entering the trio's little study room, "Manny. Your mother's here to see you."
The friends all exchanged worried glances, as Manny made her way to an empty bench with her mother. The two nosey girls stood close by, listening to the conversation between the the mother and daughter. Manny refused to meet her father's demands about her plans for plastic surgery, so her mother suggested she stay with either of her friends.
"She can stay the night with me. Baby's moms are out of town, so she's staying over anyway, too." Emma suggested, interrupting their private conversation
"So I can't come home?" Manny asked her mother, causing Baby's heart to ache for the poor girl
"Not yet. Not until you are ready." Her mother finished, before walking off and leaving the three of teens alone
"Come on. Let's go to class." Baby gently suggested, putting her arm around Manny's shoulder and leading her down the hall with Emma
The three teens took their seats, already bummed out by the early events of their day. Class was the last thing either of them wanting to be doing, but grades are grades.
"Hey, Baby." Someone greeted from behind the blonde teen, the sound of a chair following, signaling they mystery voice had taken the empty desk behind her
The Roberts teen looked up from her notebook, offering a small smile to the voice she found to belong to a certain teen boy. "Hi, JT." Baby greeted, opening up her textbook as the teacher entered the class room
"How's your day been?" JT awkwardly questioned
"Uh, it's been okay. You?" The teen nodded, not enjoying the stiff conversation compared to their usual playful banter
"Is it alway going to be like this between us?" He abruptly questioned, quickly getting to the point which the girl greatly appreciated
"What do you mean?" Baby asked, although she was completely aware to what he meant
