Shawn's pov
We arrived at the Chinese place on main. We walked in and sat at the table. Across from each other, my mom had a serious/scared look on her face.
"Mom what's wrong" I asked, she's never like this endless it's important.
"Hunny, your dad-" she said putting her hand on mine, but I cut her off.
"What he do now"! I said angrily flying my arm and body backwards in frustration.
Why?
Because my dads a dick! First he leaves my mom right when she had me. Even though he 'loved' her. First he left us for 12 years my mom single with no child support. Then he came back, I was so happy that he was back we were happy for a year then he took all our money and ran away with some slut! Sports help me take out all the anger, and sadness.
"Shawn he's in town, I told him he couldn't stay with us but he wants to be in your life"
"Or he just wants our money"! I said looking into her eyes.
The waiter came out and gave us our food.
"Will you just try to be civil"? She asked
"Sure but if he tries anything I swear-"
"Thank you"
I furrowed my eye brow in confusion "for what"? I asked stuffing my face with chow main.
"For being strong I know it's hard, and what he's done to.... Both of us"
I lightly smiled, "you to your strong"
***flashback****
It was my thitreen birthday, my dad was back everything was great, we that's what I thought.
I walked downstairs to get some thing to eat for a mid-night snack, I heard my dad yelling then a smack.
"Your such a whore and that kid is such a waist of space and money"he yelled and then smacked my mom right across the face.
"Please, I'm sorry but he's your son we've gone through this, he loves you he needs you in his life" my mom said crying.
"Shut up slut"!!! She yelled pushing her over and kicking her. While she cried.
"That kid doesn't need love he's a waist" I heard and it echoed through my head in slow motion. I wanted to cry but I ran over to my mother on the floor.
"Mom"! I ran over to her.
"Shawn leave we-"
She was cut off my by my dad grabbing me and pushing me out of the room. And shoved me to the floor. He smelt like alchol and sweat.
