I could hardly read my book during English. My eyes felt like sand paper, and I just wanted to close them. The kid behind me was snoring, which really didn't help my case.

In Chemistry, I couldn't make it through this boring lecture. I hardly survived day to day, let alone when I was this tired.

I ended up slowly nodding off, and in an attempt to hide this, I rested my head on my hand. That only sent me deeper into my sleepy haze.

"Miss Price."

I jolted, sitting up probably too quickly. "Yes, I'm here." I finally realized how stupid I was and I immediately wanted to hide.

Mr. Stevens was peering at me over his glasses. "Care to explain why you're sleeping in my class?"

I was still waking up, so I had lost my filter. "Maybe your class is the problem and not me. If you tried making things somewhat investing, I wouldn't be asleep."

Kids laughed around me, and Mr. Stevens was now glaring at me. "That's detention for you, Miss, along with Mr. Jacobson."

That confused me and I looked over to see that Archer was completely asleep at his desk. I snorted, but I was still too tired to care.

The class continued, and I struggled to stay awake for the rest of the time.

When the bell rang, I noticed that Archer was still asleep. Without fully thinking, I walked over to his desk and nudged his shoulder. "Archer."

He stirred, and then slowly sat up. "Just another minute. I'm just resting my eyes."

"Archer." I said louder. I flicked his forehead and he sat up, throwing me a sleepy glare. "You got detention, buddy." I pointed at the little slip of paper on his desk.

His eyes found the detention slip in my own hand and he slowly smiled. "You did too, apparently."

"Sadly." I confirmed. "The bell rang. I figured you didn't want to be late for your next class.

"Oh shit." He muttered, rubbing his face. "Thanks for waking me up." He smirked. "Deep down, you really do care."

I rolled my eyes. "No, I'm sure Mr. Stevens doesn't want you sleeping in here during his free period." I turned on my heel and walked out of the classroom.

I obviously didn't notice much, but I couldn't seem to think of any other time Archer slept through class. He was usually goofing off with his friends, as far as I knew. A small part of me wondered why he was tired.

Later at lunch, I wasn't even interested in eating. I just wanted to sleep.

"Why do you seem so dead?" Lisa asked as I approached Ricky's truck.

"Fairy, are you the first zombie of the apocalypse?" Ricky teased, already stuffing his face with chicken nuggets.

I groaned. "Sort of. Can I use your backseat? I seriously need a nap."

"Spill. Why are you so dead?" Lisa pushed. Today she wore her yellow glasses, which made her look more serious, somehow.

"Uh. Well I stayed up past three."

"Doing what?" Ricky asked, eyes wide as he stopped eating for once. "Did you and Archer already get busaay?" He winked.

I was too tired to deal with his dramatic comments. "No. Seriously, dude?" I shook my head. "I talked to that guy through the fence again."

Lisa's eyes widened this time. "Really? I thought the other night was a one time thing."

"I did too." I smiled. "But it wasn't. We'll probably be talking a lot now. It's kind of what we agreed to."
