Chapter 8

Kara's POV

"So tell me exactly what happened." Principal Wells said.

I already told him what happened but I don't think he believes me. Why would he believe anything I say? He's just another asshole who thinks Victoria is perfect and never does anything wrong... but I know the truth.
Wells was looking at me, waiting for an answer.

"I already told you. It's so obvious that you don't believe me so I think I'll just go." I say, standing up.

I was about to walk away when I heard him call my name.

"I'm just trying to understand what happened."

"I told you everything that happened. Now if you excuse me I have to go talk to Victoria." I say with attitude.

I obviously didn't tell him about my powers. I knew that if I didn't use my powers yesterday and Kate really did die then Victoria would have to pay. I don't like bullies. I walk around school looking for Victoria and I find her in front of Kate's door. What the hell?

"Why are you here? Did you plan on making her feel worse?" I say with anger in my voice. I look down and see flowers in her hand.

"I wanted to apologize to Kate. I didn't mean anything I said."

Wow she actually looks... sad.

"She will be back in a few days. She's not ready to come back to school yet."

"Will you give this to her when she gets back?"

"Sure." I say, taking the flowers.

"I'm trying to be a better person now. I hope you can forgive me."
She said crying.

"Well this is a good start." I smile and walk back to my room.

That was weird. Do I really believe she's trying to change? Or was that all an act?
