chapter 10

"Mom, can you come here for a minute" Stefani waved at her mom from a private corner table of the restaurant.

"Sure honey! What happened?"

"So...I thought all morning at how I am gonna tell you this and I still don't know how to do it" Stefani ran her hands through her hair nervously.

"Stefi, you scare me! Is it something bad?"

"No mom- just listen" she took a deep breath "last night something happened like- ugh I don't know how to say it, okay...last night I was with this man- boy I mean and you know...we-"

"You had sex"

"Well, yes. We had sex"

Cynthia smiled warmly at her daughter "It wasn't that hard, was it?"

"Wait" Stefani looked at her confused "So...you are not mad at me or something?"

"Honey, of course I am not mad. Maybe a little because you should've had said that to me so I can prepare you for how it will be...but, if you felt prepared and ready to take this big step and you haven't been pushed to do this against your will, I am totally okay with it"

"Thank you, mom! And don't worry, no one obligated me"

"So, now tell me...how was it? Who is the lucky one? Is it from school? I just hope he is a good boy -"

"Mom" Stefani blushed "Okay, first of all he is a good boy and yes, he is from school" Well, tehnically Bradley is part of the school Stefani thought "And yeah, it was perfect. It was everything I've ever dreamed of. He was so sweet and gentle with me. And we've been careful, he wore protection"

"Okay, that's all I wanted to know Stefi. If you are happy I am too. I hope that one day, soon I can meet this special boy...you seem pretty in love"

Stefani smiled "Because I am"

Cynthia huged her daughter and kissed her forehead "Okag now! Back to work! And also, reminde me before you leave to give you birth control pills, because you can't always be safe with the condoms"

"Okay mom, I promise I will remind you"

It was an easy day at the restaurant, not so many people passed the door threshold so, Cynthia let Stefani leave earlier.

"I am leaving mom, dad" Stefani shouted from the kitchen door " I love you!"

"Wait, Stefi...before you leave" her mom appeard with a bag "Here! You have some pasta and a peperoni pizza. In case you want to invite that boy of yours to eat together" she winked at Stefani

"Oh my God, mom! You're crazy sometimes"

"I love you , honey! Take care of you"

"I love you too, mom"

Stefani huged her mom one last time and made her way out of the restaurant . She just closed the door of the restaurant when her phone vibrated. It was a message.

I miss you so much right now. I really feel lonely when I am not with you. I wish I could see you right now 🥺

Stefani smiled at her phone and bit her lip.

Stefani just finished to arrange the table when she heard a knock on the door. As soon as she opened it Bradley took her by surprise and lifted her up in his arms and kissed her lips hard.

"Mhm, Bradley" she mumbled between the kisses "You scared me"

Bradley broke the kiss and smiled at her cuteness " I am sorry! I just wanted to kiss you"

"You're adorable, you know that?"

He kissed her nose "Not more than you, and you know it"

"Okay silly man, let's eat! I am starving"

She closed the door and both made their way into the kitchen, taking a seat at the little table.

"So...how was work today, baby?" Bradley asked as he took a bite of the carbonara.

"It was good and I also want to tell you something"

"Sure" he smiled "What's up?"

"I talked with mom today about what happened last night...you know. But, don't worry, I haven't told her it was you or something. God, no...I just told her what happened because I wanted to tell someone and to be sure she's not mad or-"

"Okay baby, breath" Bradley giggled "I am happy that you told your mother. It is an important thing and of course you needed to talk with someone about this, especially your mother. She is a woman too, so she understands how it is"

"So...you're not mad or something, right?"

"No, Stef. Of course I am not mad, baby. I am actually glad about it. And what did she say?" he asked curiously

Stefani relaxed "Don't worry. She isn't mad or something. She told me that if I was ready and I am happy about my decision, she is happy too. She took it pretty well"

"I am glad to hear this! And also, this food is pretty damn bomb, wow!"

She laughed "It was made for you, so...eat it all"

"Be sure I will do just that" Bradley winked

"The food was absolutely delicious. Thank you for this amazing dinned, baby" he pecked her lips after they cleaned the dishes.

"Well, I tehnically didn't make it but you're very welcome"

Bradley kissed her but longer this time, just wanting to feel her close to him.

He looked at the watch on his hand "It's pretty late, baby. I think I should get going"

"Noooo!" Stefani huged him tighter from his torso "Please don't leave"

"It's late and you're probaly tired from work. And you also need to wake up early to go again tomorrow"

"No, please! I promise I will sleep if you stay here and sleep with me. Baby, please?" she made puppy eyes

Bradley looked at her face and instatly melted "You're so damn adorable that I can't say 'no' to you" he kissed her "It's not fair. With those eyes and this adorable face you can convince me to do anything"

"What can I say. I am pretty irresistible"

"Yes, you are" Bradley agreed "Okay, let's get ready for bed"

Bradley took her bridal style making Stefani giggle. They got ready for bed and Stefani curled up on Bradley's chest, a deep sleep immediately taking her.
