Fluke Natouch was the newest flight attendant at Thai MyBlue Airways and came with high recommendations from his previous employers. Even without the praise, one could see he was fit for the job; he was endearingly polite with passengers, great people skills, high energy when needed yet level headed, detail oriented and attentive, had a disarming smile, and was insanely attractive to top it off. Ohm Thitiwat, pilot for Thai MyBlue Airways, knew Fluke would make an impression here.
One might wonder why a pilot would know so much about the flight attendants that work with them. Is it to better get to know their co-workers and to gauge what to expect from them? Is it a need for information to have better control over possible situations? Or is it simply gossip reaching the cockpit? Truthfully, this was the first time Ohm had known so much about a new flight attendant so soon. And he blamed it on a few memorable run-ins with said flight attendant.
.-.-.
"-hard to believe. All pilots I've met have been arrogant assholes. They play the part of polite, professional but once they're far enough from their cockpit, they become real sleazeballs."
Ohm was making his way to do initial checks before his next flight, when he came upon the in-flight bartender talking with another man - a new flight attendant judging by the uniform. Having made eye-contact with his colleague and clearly having overheard what the newcomer had said, he couldn't really pass by without a word, so he turned and gave a smile as he spoke up.
"I'm sorry to hear you've had such poor experiences with others in my field, I hope your time here proves to be more enjoyable."
He watched as the smaller -much smaller- man turned to face him and he wondered if it was noticeable how his insides did a leap. Ohm always thought the whole "fumbling over seeing someone attractive" thing was a bit excessive, but then again he'd never seen this man before.
"Ah! This is Khun'Ohm, one of our best pilots," P'Earth introduced with a bright smile.
Ohm quickly greeted the man with a polite "Sawatdee-krap."
The man wai-ed in return. "Sawatdee-krap Khun'Ohm. I'm Fluke."
"Please, call me Phi. No need to be so formal here. This one knows that," he said with a gesture and teasing smile to Earth. "Happy to have you onboard, please let us know if we can do anything to help N'Fluke."
"Actually, he's-"
Fluke cut Earth off with a smile that wrapped right around Ohm's heart. "Thank you, P'Ohm, I will." A pointed look was exchanged between the two but Ohm didn't think too much on it, too pleased with the sound of his name from the small man.
"Well, I really better get going. I'll see you later, P'Earth. N'Fluke." With a wai and wave, Ohm turned to leave.
He swore he heard a hushed "-don't care what he looks like, you can't convince me-" but didn't try to pry into their conversation and kept walking. To be honest, he was a little dazed - that smile playing over and over in his head.
.-.-.
"Come on, just enjoy yourself!"
Ohm grumbled at his friend, and co-pilot, Boun who had dragged him out to a bar in the city they were staying overnight in. He rarely left his hotel room for more than a walk on these stays, but he'd given in to Boun's pestering. So here he sat in a loud bar in a strange city, wondering how long he'd have to stay.
It wasn't that Ohm didn't like hanging out with his friend, it was the setting he had an issue with. He wasn't big on drinking or loud crowds, especially when he had to be up early for a flight the next day.
