Chapter 34

"Ah! Not that one!" Yena shouts in a whispering voice.

"Sorry, Yena." I said, as i pull it out.

A number of monkeys fall the moment i pull the stick out.

"But it looks like I'm gonna win. Look how much monkey i got." She pouts after i said that. I pinch her cheeks, just cause her lips are so cute like that. She pulls the last stick, making the last piece of monkey fall.

"Yup, i win." I lean towards her with my cheeks sticking out, asking for a kiss. She kisses my cheeks out of annoyance, not that i hate it.

"Let's play another game." She suggests to me. I glance at the clock to see the time.

"Are you sure you don't want to sleep? it's already 2.30." She glances at the clock as well. And then turns her head towards me.

"Let's just cuddle, then. Until one of us falls asleep." She gets up to the sofa, and sits on the spot i was sleeping in.

"The sofa's kinda hard, isn't it?" I put my hands on the sofa, pressing it. Just to make sure. "It won't be comfortable for you to sleep on."

"I don't care." She pulls up the blanket, covering her lower body. "As long as i'm with you, anywhere would be comfortable."

...her words pierces straight to my heart so hard ,i dove into the blanket.

"Since when did you become this cheesy?" I pull her closer to me. Playing with her hair.

"I learned it by myself." She puts her head to my chest, slowly getting sleepier.

"That sure worked a lot." I caress her hair.

"I thought you said you don't want to sleep yet?" I asked her.

"I don't know.... probably because it's been a long time since i felt this warm... It's so relaxing." She looks up to me, as she said it. The longer i stare at her eyes, the more i feel getting sucked in by it.

"Well. I really hope that we could do this more often."

"Why don't we?"

"You still have your own career, remember?" I said to her. "What if someone spots us being like this?"

"I don't care what the public thinks. As long as i have you."

"But i do. I don't want you to be bashed because of me." I paused, still caressing her hair. "After a few minutes of silence, i decide to confess my sin.

"...you know, that's why i left you before. And i'm sorry about that." I paused, before continuing. "I was afraid that things wouldn't be the same, if you didn't feel the same way. Even if you do, i was afraid of our relationship. Like what would happen if the fans found out? How would they feel? My mind goes to the worst case, that you have to leave the entertainment industry. Forever. I didn't want you to go through that. That's why i, selfishly, thought that it would be best for you to focus on your career, and left. But looking back at it, it was the biggest mistake i have ever made. Once again, I'm sorry for what i have done. I'm not asking you to forgive me, but just know that I've loved you ever since high school even now i still do, and the next day, the next week, 'til eternity. "

I stopped, waiting for her answer about my confession, but there's no response.

"Yena?" And that's when i hear her little snores, sleeping softly on my chest.

"You duck... I guess i'll properly apologize tomorrow."

I continue caressing her, as i slowly... and slowly.... getting.....

*zzz*

"Bzzt Bzzt"

Hyewon gets awoken by the vibrating sound of her phone. She gets dumbfounded when she looks around to realize that she was not in her room. It took her a moment to get a grasp of herself.

Oh. Right. Y/N's place.

Hyewon then looks at her phone, to see that Eunbi had left her a message.

Hyewon! Are you guys ready yet? I texted Yena but there was no answer!

But then she realizes, that Yena wasn't on her side. She looks around, and spotted the cute couple hugging, being at the comfort of each other's presence on the sofa. She slowly gets up, and took a picture of the moment.

She sends the picture to the group chat, telling them to quickly come. Not even a minute after she had replied, she gets a text back saying.

Open the door.

Hyewon walks over, and starts unlocking the door. The members came in one by one, giggling at the scene that they're currently witnessing.

"Let's prepare the cake first. We'll wake them up after that." Eunbi whispers, as she takes out the cake.

Hyewon places the candle on top of the cake, before lighting it up. After they're all set, Eunbi starts counting.

"1... 2..."

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KANG Y/N!!!!" The members shouted, making the two who's sleeping wake up. Startled by the situation.

"Wha-what's happening?" Y/N looks around, surprised by the fact that 11 girls are standing in front of him. At his apartment.

"Why didn't you wake me, Kwangbae!" Y/N grunts at Hyewon.

"I didn't want to disturb your precious moment~" She teases her. Yena's face then gets red after she realizes what situation she was in. Y/N on the other hand's still getting a grasp of what's going on. His eyes gaze towards the cake.

Oh yeah.. it's my birthday.

The girls then sing him a happy birthday. He's happy with the fact that he's not spending his birthday alone this year. Who would've thought a girl group would sing you a happy birthday?

"Thanks, you guys. You don't have to." He blushes.

"Aww~ he's blushing, unnie. How cute~" Wonyoung said.

"Let's all take a picture!" Eunbi suggests. They all start standing up and stands beside Y/N.  Eunbi then puts her phone on the drawer standing up, so that it can take a picture without needing anyone's help.

"I'll start the countdown!" Eunbi clicks her phone, and starts running to the group.

*click*

"Let's take a freestyle picture!" This time, Hitomi walks over to the phone, and starts the countdown again. They all put up silly poses, as Y/N messes Yena's hair up, making her glare at him.

"One more please!" Yujin walks over to the phone. The members had all planned on what picture they want to take. Yuri who's beside Yena, then picks her head and leans it towards Y/N. Hyewon who's on Y/N's side picks his head as well and leans it towards Yena. They both get startled, but they didn't have the reflex to dodge because they just woke up. Their lips connected each other, while the members looked at them in surprise.

"Yah, what're you doing?!" Yena shouts at Yuri.

"Sorry, unnie. It was all of our plan~" Yena looks around to see the other members laughing at them.

"I'll definitely print the photo, and put it up on the fridge." Eunbi said.

"Let's cut the cake!" Hyewon walks over to the cake. Waiting for her share.

Y/N walks over to the counter, preparing plates for the members to eat the cake on. It took them 30 minutes, to finish the whole cake.

"So, what're we gonna do now?" Y/N asks.

"Let's play some games!" The youngest suggests, while hopping.
