Carmela's POV
Same as the night before we walked our way to the compound with linked arms, our heels clicked along the grey mosaic styles stone sidewalks as the sun started to set causing beautiful hues of yellows, oranges and pinks to cascade across the cloudless sky. As usual, we were giggling and talking animatedly about how some of the men in the club last night thought they were god's gift to women, but in reality they were naïve and useless in the art of seduction and lacked knowledge about women in general. Their chat up lines and body language was appalling, and would push any 'non-employed' women at the club away at the mere opening of their mouths, but as we were currently positioned there for a purpose we had to act and remain in awe of them or at least pretend as if they were interesting and funny.
Our conversation soon turned personal as Giana regaled us with stories about past encounters with men she was sent to kill or get information from, as did Sarah and myself add to this topic. Sarah also added a comment about Leo's advances before she gave into him the night she and the others went on their simultaneous missions to kill the men sent to support Romeo and ultimately spy on him to report back to Stefano. I laughed along with them but also cringed for Leo's feelings at her revelation. "Come on Heart, tell us about Romeo?" Giana tried to teasingly coax an answer out of me.
My mind flashed with childhood memories, me forgetting who he was, how awkward our reunion meeting was. How angry I were and how aroused he were, how I'd threw a dagger into Enzo's shoulder when he presented my memory box to me. The night I gave myself to him and the unusual but seductive night I surprised him. I laughed to myself, a large smile spread on my face. "It's hard to answer that. I've known him since we were children." Both Giana and Sarah stopped dead in their tracks and looked utterly bored with my answer, to the point Giana even rolled her eyes at me. They wanted some juicy gossip.
"Fine, I'll just say even knowing each other from being so young he has always been my little lap dog. Always been mine." I purred the last bit seductively while eyeing Sarah's choker, knowing damn well he was watching and listening to us talk. I could picture the wicked smirk that would be plastered onto my lips and the challenge of my words in his eyes, which only made me grin wider as we continued walking to our destination. "We heard." Sarah laughed, referring to mine and Romeo's sexual encounter earlier this afternoon. I felt my cheeks heat slightly but quickly push the thought away and changed the topic completely.
"I don't know when or if Seth will actually show tonight, or even if I'll be walking into a trap. We need to keep eyes and ears everywhere tonight and watch each other's backs." With that being said there were nothing else to say on the matter. I took the final three steps forward and opened my long black trench coat for the guard to search me. I remembered him from last night as one of the guys that saw me with my blade, my mind worried that he wouldn't let me pass, but my facial expression showed the same dominant look as it did yesterday and through the entire night while we 'worked'.
"Hands up." His voice commanding and eyes suspicious of me. He intensely held my gaze before advancing forward, quickly twirling me around and pushing me up against the stone wall of the security hut. "Where are you hiding that blade tonight whore?" He started patting my arms down not finding anything and moving to my leather clad booted legs. I took a swift look over my shoulder and shook my head at Giana as she reached for her weapon. She saw my silent command and instead changed tactic and pranced forward as if impatient to get inside. "I think it's my turn to be frisked. I think you should start... here." She groped at her black corseted chest and ran her finger over the lace ever so slightly showing her nipple to the man who still had his hands on me. "Lì pulito. Lasciali passare." He instructed the other guard and he moved away from me finding nothing incriminating on me.
