Thomas looked really stressed and put his hands up to his face. Newt had never seen anyone look so upset before, or from what he could remember, anyway.

"What's wrong, Tommy?" Newt asked.

It had began to rain heavier than it did in the morning and Newt noticed Thomas didn't have an umbrella and was soaking wet in the cold, damp rain so he came over and put his umbrella over both their heads.

"I-"

"Why don't you come in my car and tell me, it'll be warmer and dryer in there. I swear I won't kidnap you if that's what you think I'll do."

Thomas seemed hesitant at first but then realized how heavy the rain really was so he agreed.

Thomas went into the passenger seat of the car and explained how his car had ran out of gas so it had to be towed home and how he told his room mate he'd be staying at a friend's house.

"I lied to him, I'm not going to a friend's house so now I don't know where I'm going to spend the night"

"You know, Tommy, you could always crash at my place. I know we just met but I feel like we've known each other for the longest time. And besides, didn't I tell you I live alone? I have 2 spare bedrooms."

Thomas looked at Newt in astonishment. Why was he being so nice to him? It wasn't like Thomas had a better chance sleeping outside so he agreed to stay over at Newt's house.

When they arrived, Thomas looked around. Newt lived in a nice house by a nice lake in a nice neighborhood. Everything here felt humble and warm. Newt showed Thomas to a spare room and Thomas took a nap. Thomas realized it was Friday which meant tomorrow was Saturday which meant no school. He was also excited to be starting his job tomorrow. Wait a second, my job is Sunday through Wednesday which means it's in two days not one. Thomas realized that he didn't actually have work tomorrow which meant that he had Saturday off to do whatever he wanted. Thomas woke up and looked at the time. 9:02 p.m. the digital clock next to the nightstand read. Thomas decided he wasn't that tired and went into the living room where he found Newt on the couch in front of the TV looking like he was about to watch something.

"Oh, hey Tommy, wanna watch with me?" Newt said, looking up at Thomas

"Yeah sure," Thomas said while ruffling his own hair.

"I'm re-watching this anime called Blue Exorcist, do you wanna watch it?"

"Yeah, sure" Thomas said, sitting down on the couch next to Newt.

Newt turned on the first episode and the Japanese music played. Thomas liked the music and he was glad Newt didn't skip the intro.

They were on episode six, and Newt noticed Thomas seemed to be enjoying the show as much as he did. Newt stared at the screen and then felt something solid bump against his shoulder. he looked down saw Thomas sleeping peacefully against his shoulders. Newt smiled. A while later, Thomas had fallen asleep in Newt's lap and looked like he was trying to get comfortable. Newt decided that he'd finish the show with Thomas another time, so he carried Thomas to the room he was sleeping him, closed the lights, and laid him down on the bed. Just before he was about to leave, something grabbed his wrist. He looked down and saw Thomas, who looked to still be sleeping, pulling his arm. Thomas had an uneasy expression on his face and was whispering something. He was talking in his sleep. Newt bent down to hear what Thomas had been whispering.

"Please don't leave me alone"

Newt looked at Thomas and saw his eyes were completely closed and he seemed to think this was some sort of dream. But he looked really scared.

"Ok, I won't," Newt replied.

He came over to the other side of the bed and lied down. He was going to eat something and maybe watch something on the TV, but he could just do that in the morning. Newt closed his eyes and then felt something warm touch his hand. He looked down and saw that Thomas had a peaceful look on his face again and was holding his hand. Honestly Newt didn't mind. This was the first time anyone had come to his house and he didn't feel lonely anymore.
