He Saved Me

chapter three

Ryder black only ever sat with his friends. Never sitting with anyone else only his friends.

His friends were Luke, Jay, Jacob, and Nate around the school they were known as 'The Serpents'.

Now how would I describe the guys? Well, let's start with...

Nathan curt or Nate for short, he has brown hair and blue eyes, all I know about him is he likes to play football, has really good grades, and is the quietest of the group. No one knows much about him except for the boys.

Next is Jaydon Gray or Jay, he is the most energetic of the group. He loves to play football with the others, skateboarding, loves to eat ice cream even on cold winter days, but when in a serious situation, he can give the best advice and help in any situation.

Then there's, Lucas Moore or Luke, he is the most mysterious of the group, to anyone outside of the friendship group he is a total mystery. No one knows where he came from or are too scared to even go up and ask. But i have noticed that he enjoys playing football and playing his guitar. I may or may not have walked in on him playing it, in the music room during lunch one time.

Then we have Jacob white or Jake, he loves to play soccer and love to cook, he enjoys looking after dogs of all shapes and sizes. Jake volunteers at the local animal shelter every weekend, so he helps out there whilst the boys go to football training.

And last but not least, we have Ryder Black, he is what you would call the leader of the group. He is the most serious of all. No one knows why he's so serious and shut off but when it came to me, he would always stare and when I looked at him you could see the ghost of a smile appearing, but when it came to anyone else looking at him that ghost smile would disappear, and he would then become shut off to the world once more.

"Crystal, girl you really need to stop zoning out," Rose said whilst throwing her hands in the air, as they came down, I couldn't help but flinch away whilst shaking slightly.

"Oh Crystal, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to, I would never hit you, you know that right?" I sighed "Yeah Rose, I know you would never hit me, I forgive you and I'm sorry for zoning out again, its just I had a rough night last night,"

'Flashback'

As I stepped into the house and gently shutting the door, trying not to wake my father. I turned around to see him standing in front of me with his fist raised. "WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN, YOU WERE MEANT TO BE HERE AN HOUR AGO, I THOUGHT YOU LEARNT YOUR LESSON ON ABOUT NOT BEING LATE, BUT I GUESS NOT," I just stood there with my head down, shaking violently, "ANSWER ME YOU FUCKING BITCH," he yelled as he brought his fist higher then bringing it down, hitting me on the side of the face. "ANSWER ME," "I-I-I was at the library finishing some schoolwork, I'm s-so s-s-sorry for being late, it won't happen again," "LIKE I CARE ABOUT YOUR PATHETIC SORRYS, I EXPECT YOU TO BE HERE At FOUR-EVERY AFTERNOON TO MAKE ME DINNER AND CLEAN THIS FUCKING HOUSE" he yelled whilst kicking me in the stomach and slapping me one last time before heading to the lounge room.

'Flashback over'

I slightly shivered at the memory of last night as I walk down the hall to my next class, Rose must have left a couple of minutes ago. I kept walking with my head down, silently willing myself not to cry. How could a father do that to his own child? Why? What did I do to deserve this? Is it because I am fat and ugly or is it the fact that I should have never been born?
