He Saved Me

chapter six

I was awakened by the thumping pain up my side. As I start to open my eyes, blinking through the haziness. I gently tried to get up but through much pain I managed to get up, biting my lip to prevent me from screaming out in agony. As I make my way up the stairs to my bedroom, I limp over to my mirror where I see that I have a huge bruise from where my father punched me. I pull up my top to see a massive blue and black bruise, which was taking up my whole side.

Breathing slowly, I turn around heading towards the bathroom, where I continue to turn on the shower, flinching as I stretched, turning the tap on before in as gently as I could, I try to get most of the dried blood off me. After about ten minutes I get out, wrapping a towel around me, walking out into my bedroom. I continue to walk into my closet where I pull out my bra and panties along with a pair of gray baggy sweatpants, a singlet and my gray hoodie.

After about five minutes trying to get my clothes on, flinching at every movement. After I finished getting dressed, I walked over to my desk where I gently started to apply makeup on to cover up the bruise on my face. After successfully putting on my makeup, making sure that the bruise isn't noticeable. I make my way downstairs to start making my father his breakfast, as I finish, I glance up at the clock noticing that I'm going to be late for school, I place down the plate of food and rush out the door, ignoring my stomach growls.

After about ten minutes of walking, I hear a car pull up ahead of me. I immediately put my head down making sure I'm not noticed by anyone, but I guess that didn't work, because the next thing I heard was someone yelling out my name " CRYSTAL!! OVER HERE," I immediately look up to see what looks like Ryder waving his arm around, motioning for me to come over. I hesitantly make my way over.

"Hey Crystal, I saw you walking I just thought Id stop and ask if you need a ride to school?"

"I-i-I'm not sure R-R-Ryder?"

"Come on Crystal, it would be a lot faster than you walking!"

Weighing up my options of walking to school and being late or being on time.

"Okay R-r-ryder"

"Okay then come on hop in."

As I make my way around the car, I open the door, ignoring the pain that flared up in my side, as I bend down to sit in the car. Once I'm seated, I put my seat belt on.

"Are you okay Crystal l, are you hurt?"

"N-no-no I'm fine, e-e-everything's fine"

I say, not looking away from the window, not giving away the fact that I lied to him.

The car ride was awkward. No one spoke after I assured Ryder that I was fine and to be honest I was thankful for it. I could feel Ryder glancing at me from time to time but always turning his head to the road.

After about five minutes I could see the gates of the school. Pulling into the parking lot, I went to reach for the door handle, but I was stopped by Ryderss hand grabbing mine.

"Are you sure you're okay Crystal, you look like you're in pain!"

"Y-yeah I'm fine R-Ryder, I just bumped into the kitchen table this morning, because I was in such a rush to get to school... But I'm fine, thanks for the ride I guess I'll see you around then, well g-g-goodbye R-Ryder."

I quickly pulled my hand away from his, opening the car door, quickly walking away.

I don't know why Ryder is being so nice to me, throughout the years Ryder has shown absolutely no interest then all of a sudden, he's being nice.

'Time skip to lunch'

It's now lunch time, since I wasn't in the mood for eating, I sent a quick text to Scott and Rose telling them that I won't be meeting up with them and that I was heading to the library. As soon as I sent that I immediately got a reply back from both of them, say it,s all good.

I make my way to my locker, dropping off the books I didn't need for the last lesson of the day. Placing my last book, I'm my locker, I shut the door. I go to turn around only to be slammed into the lockers.

"Where do you think you're going slut? Hmm, excuse me bitch I'm talking to you!"

Says Melanie (queen bitch of the school). I try to blink through the haziness, wincing as the pain in my side grew stronger.

"T-to the library" I say, trying not to cry because of the pain.

"Aww, would you look at that, little miss sluts going to the library. Probably going to go suck someone dick no doubt, fucking pathetic, isn't that right girls,"

Mel asks her two minions, Kendal and Christina.

"Yeah, that's right, but I mean who would want to go near this slut, she's so ugly," says Kendal

"True that Kendal, I mean look at what's she wearing, it would surprise me if the little sluts homeless I mean, if I were her parent, I would've thrown her out on the streets as soon she was born," says Christina.

"Let's leave girls, I wouldn't want to be caught dead talk to this homeless slut,"

Just as she was about to leave Melanie, suddenly punches me in the stomach.

"Oh, and that for talk to Ryder, why don't you just leave him alone. He's mine, so just back the fuck off."

"It was nice talking to you." Melanie says as she and the other girls walked off down the hall.

My vision started to blur; I closed my eyes waiting for the impact as I slowly fell to the floor but that didn't come. I could feel these warms arms wrap around me, preventing me from hitting the ground. I could hear someone's voice yelling out my name...

"CRYSTAL.... CRYSTAL.... COME ON STAY AWAKE PLEASE!!!"

but I couldn't fight off the darkness anymore, so I just let the darkness consume me.
