I fixed my eye glasses back when my brother, Ildi, poked me on my sides. He knows where my ticklish parts which is very annoying because he always takes advantage of it.
Every Christmas break, my younger brother and I come here in Maine to celebrate this holiday with our Aunt Esme. Even though London is a beautiful place to spend Christmas, nothing can beat the beauty of Aunt Esme. We love her so much.
Now, Ildi and I work in her restaurant because we got nothing else to do. Plus, we're being paid here. But not in quids. Doesn't matter.
A guy went in and took a seat. I walked towards him to get his orders.
"Oh. No, dude. I'm waiting for someone. Later, I guess." He said nicely.
"A'right." I said and smiled. "No problem, sir."
After a while, a pretty girl walked in and sat with the guy.
Ildi elbowed me and said, "Mine." He pointed his thumb at him.
"Sure." I said defeatedly and shook my head, "Yours."
I'm just so not in the mood to argue with him right now. Plus, I think he likes the girl who just walked in.
I went to the counter and grabbed the book I'm currently reading, The Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. It's just my way to feel the Christmas spirit.
Ildi came back with a goofy smile on his face.
"What are you thinking, Ild?" I asked.
"Nothing." He said. "Darren! Here's the order." He slipped the paper through the mini-window that connects to the bar counter.
Darren is our cook and he's so funny.
"I was hoping I could just rest here for the rest of the day." He joked and chuckled.
"Unlucky you, then." Ildi said.
The other waiters, Walter and James, are waiting for more customers to come.
Same here.
I started staring at the ceiling. There's something missing here. Something that makes this place empty. People? Nah. It's normal not to have many customers.
"Oh, Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree..." James started singing, very out of tune.
I laughed, "Really, James? That's a good Christmas cheer."
Eureka!
I can see the lightbulb above my head!
"Yes, James!" I stated, I run to him and held him on his shoulders. I started shaking his body, "We are lack of decorations!" I said.
James stares at me confusedly and said, "Okay?"
I clapped my hand and grinned.
I have to put some decorations in this place.
Darren called out for Ildi to serve the food, but Ildi went behind me and tapped on my right shoulder, "You're really a geek, bro." He chuckled and continued his job.
Although, I'm older than Ildi, he's so much cooler than me. He's a nice guy, and I am too. But I'm just a guy with long ponytailed curly dark hair and round eye glasses. Just like Harry Potter's. Also with green eyes. That's my similarities with Ildi.
Truth be told, I'm not good with girls. I mean, not good in dealing with the lasses. It's not like I'm scared of them or I'm a fag, it's just that I find it hard to socialize with them.
