❏— Chapter Sixteen
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳ ❝ SURPRISE! ❞

"This is not the right time to ignore me Gyu." Soobin groaned, throwing --- well not literally throwing --- his phone that he's been staring at for the last couple of minutes beside him.

He's currently outside, lying on the roof again despite the fact that the night air is a lot colder which causes him to sneeze every five minutes. But hey, the night air calms him down so he just dismisses the possibility that he might get a cold from it.

And as long as his grandma won't know the reason in case he indeed catches a cold then he's safe from her scolding.

He fiddles with the sleep bracelet on his right wrist --- wondering why it's not working anymore in helping him fall sleep. It worked great earlier and if he was not in the store, he would've probably slept the whole day because of it.

He slightly laughed to himself, thinking about how ridiculous he might seem. Like who the hell relies on a bracelet to help them fall asleep? Oh right that's me. It's not that he truly believes that it works but maybe if he pretends to himself that it does then maybe it actually would.

He can just take his pills again but then again, he's been avoiding it because he doesn't really like waking up in the morning feeling drained after taking it the night before.

If only there was something or a way that could help me fall asleep easier.

Soobin sighed as he looks at the night sky. It's the only thing that keeps him company during nights when he can't fall asleep (read every night).

The sky looks extra great tonight with the moonlight shining down on him.

He reaches out his right hand to trace and connect the stars that's surrounding the moon as he wishes for even just a tiny bit of sleep.

Soobin suddenly wondered if another person is looking at the same night sky while also thinking about their own worries and such.

A sudden ting on his phone snaps him out from his deep thoughts.

He excitedly grabs his phone to look at the notification, only to be disappointed that it was not a reply from Beomgyu. Instead, it was actually Yeonjun who texted him.

Soobin laughed at Yeonjun's emoji, it's really like him to use the kissing face emoji and he can actually hear Yeonjun's voice as he read the messages.

Okay --- he will have his first job tomorrow so he really needs to fall asleep because he doesn't want to be fired on his first day for the reason of scaring customers with his dark bags and zombie-like energy.

Soobin carefully got up from his position to go back inside his room.

He closed the window because sneezing non stop on his first day would be a little bit harder for him to handle.

He lied down on his bed, not feeling a tad bit sleepy.

Please help the poor boy.

"I need to sleep." Soobin whispered to nobody, fiddling with the bracelet again.
