That feels like the longest bus ride of Soobin's life.

Oh, who was he kidding? He fell asleep, approximately five minutes into the trip.

Knowing Yej - she probably felt bad when she saw how Soobin was struggling not to fall off the seat, considering how bumpy the road was on the way to the main town.

She lightly tapped his shoulders when the bus came to a stop. Soobin lifted up his head from her shoulder in embarrassment. He still thanked her though despite the heat creeping up his neck.

"I just need to drop this at the post office," Yeji said, waving the envelope in front of her.

Soobin nodded and walked beside her. "May I ask what are those files for?"

"I don't really know but Auntie said Taehyun's mother asked her to send it. Must be important, I guess," Yeji answered.

The two of them reached the post office. They were greeted by someone at the door who looks like someone Yeji knows since she knows her name.

"Mrs. Hong, these are the files that Auntie Eunhye asked me to give to you," she said politely before handing over the envelope that she was holding.

"Yes, she called and told me about it. I'll take it from here," she stated with a warm smile. Her eyes then moved towards Soobin who's standing behind Yeji. "And who are you with? Your boyfriend, Yeji?"

The two of them went to panic mode immediately.

"No!"

"What? No!"

"You're mistaken, Mrs. Hong," Yeji waved her hands and shook her head quickly in denial. Don't want the old ladies to spread some rumor that's not true.

She grabbed Soobin by the crook of his arm over to her side. "This is Soobin, Mrs Hong. He's grandma Hyeja's grandson."

"Yes, that's true," Soobin smiled at the woman who looks like she's scrutinizing every inch of his face. Talk about being uncomfortable.

Thankfully, Mrs. Hong let them go without much fuss since she had a lot more things to do. Soobin can only shudder at the thought of what could happen if she had all the time to waste.

"Sorry about that," Yeji started as they were walking back to the bus stop. "You know how middle aged women gossips right? They'll probably know about a rumor about you first before you can either deny or confirm it yourself."

"Oh, I know alright. I've encountered a lot of them at the diner ─ the diner shit! I forgot about my shift there," Soobin rubbed his face in frustration.

"Calm down. Do you really think they would let you work after last night?"

"Oh, right," Soobin scratched the back of his head. It felt like it's been a few days since they rushed his grandmother to the hospital─ when in fact, it was just yesterday. Plus, he almost forgot how wasted everyone was because of the party last night. Aunt Eunjung would likely not open early since her helpers are probably all wasted and are still sleeping. Well, except for Soobin.

"Let's just wait here," Yeji sat down on the bench at the bus stop. "Or do you want to eat something first?"

"No, I'm really not that hungry... Unless, you are?" Soobin asked.
