chapter 8

Beca's pov.

"So there are herbs to calm my inner wolf down in heat time? When do i know i'm in heat?" I ask Levi.

"Ohw you'll know a few days before you're actually in it. It's kinda like your period but you are turned on a lot more. And you'll have trouble containing your wolf. Me and my pack have a small farm where we grow those herbs. I can give you some for now but you might want to come and visit the pack. I'm sure that they would like to meet you and you're gonna need a pack soon" He says.

"Why do i need a pack? Is it bad if i don't have one?" I ask him.

Levi sighs and scratches the back of his head.

"Normally, no. There's nothing wrong with having no pack. Anywhere else it isn't a problem, but here in barden it is. You see, there are four wolf packs around here. The red east wolf pack. They are very peacefull and love to help other packs out. They always welcome lone wolfs in their pack. Their leader is alpha dilan. He's young for being an alpha of a pack. Only forty three. Normally alphas begin their lead when they are around sixty. Then there's the green west. They don't really care much about what happens outside their pack if it wouldn't affect them. their alpha is alpha james. He's seventy four years old. Has been the leader of the pack for a couple of years now. You with me this far?" Levi asks me.

I give him a small headnod.

"Alright, then we have the blue south pack. That's my pack. We are kinda a mix between the east and west pack. We are kind but carefull. We need to know who we are dealing with you know? our leader is alpha darren. Loyal and strong. really wise aswell. He's been leading the pack for a long time already. He's currently ninety six years old." Levi says.

my eyes widen.

"Ninety six!? That's really old." I say.

Levi laughs and shakes his head a bit.

"It's not that old. werewolfs normally reach age one hundred and forthy. Werewolfs live longer than humans beca." He says.

So i will live longer than i normally would? That's kinda cool to be honest.

"Anyway, the last pack is the black north pack. They are the reason why you can't wander alone as a wolf. especially not if you are an omega. They abuse them and they only see omegas as breeding machines. They are ruthless and love to kill. You don't want to mess with them. Their leader, alpha ross is the reason why the pack acts like that. He's been their leader since he was sixty. That was five years ago. Their pack has the strongest beta's. If there ever would be a war then i'm not sure if we could win against them. We have a bigger amount of wolves but they are really strong." He says.

That's a lot to take in. 

"Wait, you mentioned that you're a beta right?" i ask him.

Levi nods.

"I am. Why do you ask?" he asks me.

"How do you know if you're a beta, omega or alpha?" i ask him.

"The colour of your eyes. blue is omega, orange is beta and red is alpha. In the beginning you might have a few colours. You're wolf needs to figure out what it is. Once you get accepted into a pack your wolf will settle on the colour that he feels. Then you know what you are." Levi says.

Interesting. So right now the colour of my eyes mean nothing? alright.

"I'll give you the herbs now. I only have the leaves tho so are you fine with smoking them or do you want me to run to my pack and get the berries?" Levi asks me.

"The leaves are fine. I've never smoked in my entire life tho so you're gonna have to show me how it's done." i say with a laugh.

Levi laughs and opens a drawer.

"Don't worry. I'll teach you all about how to smoke leaves!"

 *time skip*

I look at my phone and sigh when i realise how late it is. Almost seven am. All the bellas should be home right now, discussing what we are goinng to eat for dinner. I cough a bit and rub my chest. Those herbs are really strong. My throat hurts a bit from it. I quickly walk to the front door and throw it open. I'm really hungry!

"Hey, beca's finaly here guys!" someone  yells when i step inside. 

I look at the bella's and to my suprise, aubrey is here.

"Aubrey! What are you doing here? I didn't know that you would be here." I say with a smile.

First year me and aubrey got off on the wrong foot but we worked everything out and became friends after our first win.

"Hey beca. Yeah i didn't tell anyone that i was visiting. I wanted to suprise you all, so suprise!" She says with a small smile.

Aubrey stands up and we hug.

"How are you doing bree? Still having fun at that camp of yours?" I ask her.

She nods.

"Yeah, it's still as fun. Being out in the nature and having fun with people, it's still great. And i can still boss people around so of course i'm having a great time!" aubrey says.

We all laugh at that.

"Ohw uh chloe! That's right. Me and bree have to show you something. Let's go to our room alright?" stacie says.

chloe nods an smiles at stacie.

"Welp, while you guys do that, i'm going upsairs to make some mixes. Call me when dinner's ready!" i say while i walk to my room.
