Chapter 11

beca's pov.

Me and levi enter the cave and i take a look around. There's a big table in the middle with maps on and seats around it. There's a bigger wooden chair at the end of the table with blue feathers on top. An older but wise looking guy sits on the big throne/chair and stands up when we enter.

"Levi. Glad to see you again brother." The alpha, darren says.

Levi smiles and nods. Darren turns at me and reaches out to shake my hand. I take his hand and shake it with a nervous smile.

"You must be beca. Levi told us about you. How you were turned without wanting to." Darren says with a smile.

Darren has a deep voice, kind of gravelly. It sounds comforting, like i'm talking to my grandfather.

"Yeah, i didn't even realise werewolfs were real things." I tell him.

Darren laughs and sits down.

"Yeah, we like to keep it that way. Wouldn't want some scientist to come and kidnap us." He says.

"Anyway, I would like to ask you about that night when you got bit before we talk about anything else. What exactly happend that night?" He asks me.

"I was done with my night shift at the radio station on campus and was walking home. I decided to go through the small forrest to get home faster. I heard some noises and suddenly out of nowhere this wolf jumped at me and bit my ankle before running away." I say.

Darren frowns.

"Did you get a good look at the werewolf? I don't know if you knew this, but turning or attacking a human is a really serious crime. The council doesn't take lightly to something like that." Darren says.

"The council? What is the council?" I ask darren.

Darren looks at Levi.

"You didn't tell her about the council?" Darren asks levi.

Levi shrugs a bit.

"I kinda forgot, i guess."  Levi says.

Darren laughs.

"Ofcourse you forgot. The council is a group of six elder werewolfs. They are the oldest of the werewolfs and are basicly the rule enforces of this land. There are ancient rules that they keep and enforce. If there is a huge problem, then we take it up to them. They are very powerfull and not to be messed with. When you see them, you need to respect them." Darren says.

"We will teach you how to respect someone in wolf form later at the training grounds." Levi says.

"Anyway. I think that you are a great girl beca. You seem nice and strong. I wonder what you are? Maybe a beta? A really strong one. I sense some kind of powerfull force coming from you." Darren says.

"Now beca, if it's up to me then you are in. I would start the ceremony right now, but a pack is like a family. We decide together. The way this works is simple. I'll present you at the enterance of the cave. It's the highest place in the village. The pack will gather at the center. Levi will tell you when you can come out. When you come out, The only thing you need to do is stand next to me. The wolf inside of you will guide you further from there on." He says.

"I just have to stand there?" I ask him.

Darren nods.

"I'll handle the rest. You don't have to worry about anything but standing there. We can do this tomorrow afternoon if you're free?" He asks me.

I nod.

"Yeah, i'm free then. I'll be here." I say.

Darren smiles and nods.

"See you tomorrow then beca."

Time skip

I couldn't sleep at all last night. I was so nervous. I am nervous. I'm currently waiting in the cave with levi while darren is talking to the people. 

"Don't worry beca. You don't even have to do anything. Just stand there and look pretty beca." Levi says with a laugh.

I glare at him and shake my head.

"Don't laugh at me you jerk. I've never done this before." I say.

I sigh and sit down.

"It's going to be fine becs. They will accept you." Levi says.

"What happens if they don't?" I ask levi.

"Nothing happens. You'll have to look for a different pack, but other then that nothing happens." Levi says.

"And what happens if they do?" I ask him.

"Then we will have a ceremony with everyone here." Levi says with a smile.

Dustin walks in the cave and looks at us.

"It's time."
