ONE MONTH LATER

Stevens POV

I was completely running late today. The meeting at work went an hour longer then it should. I was speeding down the streets to go pick up Stella at school. I knew she was gonna be mad at me. Not only was I late to pick her up but she was now late to her dance rehearsal. When I got to the school no one was outside. Shit. I went in and looked around, I saw a small classroom and I saw Chasity and Stella talking. I walked in and I got a piss look from Stella.

"Where were you?" Stella ask.

"Work went a lil longer then we thought." I told her.

"Now I'm late and Ms. G is going to be mad at ." she said.

"Okay go to the car and I ill talk to Ms. G" I told her. She grabbed her bag and lunchbox and went out.

"Fine" she said.

"Look I am so sorry about this. It wont happen again" I told her.

"Of course it wont Mr. Montegomery" she said.

"Didn't I say to call me Steven" I said.

"Well excuse me, Steven"

"Your excuse Chasity"

"Your the only parent that gives me work and I met a few crazy ones trust me"

"Imma take that as a compliment and ask you to join me for some drinks Friday"

"Haha I dont think thats appropriate" she laughed.

'And why not"

"I have a son"

"I have a daughter"

"Alright you have a point"

"Damn its like that. Come on do it for Stella"

"In that case...I guess I could use a drink" she said.

We exchange numbers and I ran back to Stella before she chewed my head off. We drove to The Prancing Tigerettes Studio. When we got there, of course I was the only nigga there. I hate walking in here, all these thirsty mama's e looking at me.

"Stella your late. Go run a lap" Ms. Gia said.

"Its all my fault Ms. G" I said.

"Well then you run a lap Mr. Montgomery" Ms. G said.

The devil is a lie. "Stella get to running. I'll see you at seven" I said kissing her on the head.

"Daddy!" she yelled.

"I'll get you some candy or something" I said walking out.

I was on my way home when I got a called from Nae. I wasn't gonna pick up but it was the thrid time she called.

"What" I said.

"I just wanted to remind you that Friday Stella comes home with me"

"Aight I knew that"

"And I got a call from school saying Stella hasn't been picked up from school"

"I picked her up twenty minutes ago she's in her dance class now" I said.

"You know you dont have to be so mean" she said.

"You know you didnt have to cheat" I snapped.

"Can we ever be cordial. I hate fighting"
