Ｃｈａｐｔｅｒ ３

Kris got out their sword and started poking her as if the sword is a stick. "Nothing." Susie checked her heartbeat. "Still beating." Despite her being alive, she looks like something that you'll see in a corpse. She had a face as blank as the blank-est paper. Eyes, like a locked door without a key. Susie got a tad bit of water and sprinkled some on Noelle's face.

She still didn't wake up. Lancer was concerned. "How is she still asleep?" Kris kneeled onto their knees and looked at Noelle. "She fell into a coma." Lancer looked confused. "A coma? What's that?"

Kris lifted Noelle. "A coma is when well... A person sleeps and never wakes up for a while." Kris held her as if she were a bride and continued walking. She was not light but not heavy. She felt a little heavy after a while. Despite their walking motion, she's still sound asleep.

Kris' legs got more tired step by step. Their arms got weaker and weaker with every foot they walk. They're not even close to a mile. Lancer looked behind him. "I can still see the waterfall." Kris looked back too, they were shocked. "How did we go that far!"

Susie turned around. She was shocked like everyone "We're just five hundred feet away." Kris started walking slowly. You can tell their tired by their pace. Lancer was starting to get tired too. "My feet are getting tired." Susie tapped Lancer's shoulder. "Piggyback?"

Lancer hopped on Susie's back. Kris had no luck. They were still lifting weights. Their arms want to take a rest. "How many pounds is she?" Lancer's feet felt relaxed. "I don't know. Probably a lot." Kris continued diving into the pain.

"I wanna rest. And now thinking of it, the empty town is ahead of us. Maybe Ralsei is making us tea and cake to welcome us back." Susie felt way more tired than Kris. However, Lancer is a lot lighter than Noelle. "I heard cake!" She gently dropped Lancer and dashed into the darkness. She ran faster than a cheetah.

That all happened in a flash. Lancer had a list of questions that were as long as the constitution. He started to tremble in fear. His ribs started drumming on his heart. The beating noise can be heard a mile away. He had a weird feeling in his body. As if his dad was actually gonna drop him. "W-what happened to Susie."

Kris chuckled. "She kinda ran off. She's ahead of us again. Ran off to the town looking for Ralsei so she can have cake." His ribs dropped their drumsticks and started to rest. The fear that lingered him ran away. Kris noticed something. "Hey, we're close to the empty town! Maybe we can find Ralsei (and hopefully Susie.")

Lancer's feet started to feel like thorns again. "I wanna lie down and rest." His voice sounded like the wind going through a cavern. Noelle was starting to wake up. She started to squint and breathe. Kris stopped and let her lie on the ground so she can get a chance to breathe.

Kris' knees started to befriend the gravel. Their heart started to gently lie on Noelle's heart. They started to hear a thumping noise. It sounds like horse hooves galloping around an arena. "She definitely alive." Lancer started to lock eyes on her well... Eyelids...

Kris started to tap lancer's shoulders. "Hey, you gotta move. I'm gonna shake her." Lancer tilted his head a little. As if they were trying to ask him to translate a Chinese sentence. "Why are you shaking her?"

Kris started to locate their hands to her shoulders. "I'm going to shake her to see if she's alive." They started to shake her shoulders gently. Noelle started to cough a little. Kris stopped holding her and let her rest on the ground. Her eyes started to wake up from their eternal slumber. 

She woke up from what felt like a three hundred year coma. Her head started to ache. As if she got a concussion...  Her heart was ready to pounce. She felt her heart beating faster every minute. She started to shriek."What happened to Susie and where am I?!"  

Kris started to explain the dilemma. "Look here, Noelle." They started snapping their fingers. "We're a few hundred feet away from the empty town. I mentioned cake and Susie started to run thinking that our friend who you'll meet soon made cake for us." Noelle was still shaking. "s-so... She's alive." Kris started to pat her back gently. "yea, she's okay."

Noelle felt calm. Kris started to lead the gang again. "alright guys, let's continue!!"
