~ (Y/n)'s POV ~

The conversations between myself and the other members of Starkid carried on as I stood there only a few feet in front of the door. My joy levels were off the chart as I laughed and joked with what I could only assume would be my new best friends. Yet, all good things must come to an end. Just as I was about to open my mouth to reply to something that Jon had asked me a voice boomed into the theater.

"I am so sorry I am late!" I went to turn around, but next thing I knew I was laying on the floor, silently wincing from the wicked fall. The others has stepped back. I groaned as I slowly sat up from my position on the floor. I looked up to see what the hell happened and I was met with the image of a tall, male. His hair was dark and slightly curled. It hung sloppily across his forehead, its as if he was in a hurry. His eyes glistened with worry as he reached a hand out to me.

"I am so terribly sorry! I didn't mean to run into you, I had no idea you would be there!" He stumbled over his words as he tried to find the right words to say as an apology. I grabbed his hand and laughed at his nervous stance. I shook his hand before releasing it and smiling at him.

I spoke softly, "Hey don't sweat it, you were in a hurry. It's okay-" I paused in hopes that he would grace me with his name.

"Robert, my name is Robert." His voice was sweet as he smiled nervously.

"Well, thank you for helping me up Robert, my name is (y/n). I won't hold you up any longer," I stepped to the side, "You can go do what you have to do." Robert nodded his head and ran forward, but before he ran out of view he glanced back at me. I felt my cheeks get hot and I turned my gaze away. Robert then disappeared backstage and I let out a much need sigh of relief.

An arm wrapped around my shoulders. I glanced up and saw Jeff smirking down at me with a look that was suggestive. I returned his look with a glare to which he spoke, "So, what do you think of Robert?" He was clearly teasing me and it was also clear that I wasn't going to have any of it.

"I swear to god Jeff, I will call my father and tell him that you are being mean," I threatened him.

Jeff snickered, "Your dad would have the same reaction as me and you damn well know that." I shoved his arm off of me and grunted out a whatever. He laughed in response and patted my head in a playful manner.

Joey spoke up, "Wait so Jeff, you know her?" Jeff perked up as he looked at Joey and then back down at me.

"Yes, he knows me, my father taught him when he was in high school. When my dad heard I wanted to move to LA he contacted Jeff here who he still was pretty close with. Jeff agreed to let me stay with him until I find my own apartment." I explained the situation to them as Jeff gazed on like the goofball he is.

Lauren tilted her head, "So, Jeff is gonna bully you, you realize that, right?"

My smiled formed and slowly turned into a sinister grin, "He does that and I'll not hesitate to handle it myself." Jeff slowly stepped away from me as he shuffled his way behind Jon. I couldn't help but to let out a little laugh.

The rest of the night was rather calm and went by quickly. I met the rest of the cast for The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals and honestly, they were all lovely people. Although, I never saw Robert again the rest of the night, don't know why, but I wish I was able to talk to him more. Eventually, Jeff drove us home and once we were home I walked into the house and basically ran to my room.

"Goodnight Jeff!" I shouted before closing my door. Once my door was shut I picked out a pair of short and a tank top and changed into them. I climbed onto my bed and got myself comfortable. My hands instinctively pulled the covers over me and I expected to pass out, but I didn't. Rather, my mind raced as I stared up at the ceiling of my new room. I wonder how the next few months of my life will play out, and as I thought about it, my mind returned to love. What if I find the one? No way, I'm here to achieve my dreams, I can't let love get in the way of that. Almost as if on cue, my phone lit up. I reached out and grabbed it.

Dad: Hey pumpkin, I hope your first day was amazing and I hope Jeff is treating you well so far. If he bullied you tell me and I'll set him straight. Work hard and make your dreams come true. Don't forget to have fun too while you are at it, feel free to find someone and you know, love. I want grandbabies! I love you (y/n), don't forget to call.

I laughed to myself as I read out the message to myself. It was so like my dad to say something so embarrassing. I sent him back a quick reply telling him I love him and how my day went. Then I plugged my phone in and set it on my bedside table. Once more, I stared up at the ceiling, but this time, my eyelids grew heavier with each passing second. Within minutes, I was fully asleep in a beautiful dreamland. There is no doubt in my mind that coming to LA is the best decision I have ever made, no doubt at all. And who knows, maybe I will eventually find someone.
