~ (Y/n)'s POV ~

Today, I knew it was going to be hell the moment I stepped into the theater, but I had no idea that is would be this bad. Today, Paul was sick. He had texted me this morning if I would be able to handle everything and I told him that I would be able to do it with no problem. I mean, how hard could it be I had told myself. Well, it was bad. Yeah, I had Nick to help me, but he was busy helping make sure that everything was going according to plan with the scenery. This left me to deal with the props and costumes and any problem that the actors might have.

Lauren ran up to me, "Hey. (y/n), they are having problems on deciding what fabric to use for the suit of Paul's character, do you think that you could go back there and lend them some advice?" I turned my attention away from the lighting technician to listen to what she had to say.

"Yeah I'll be there in a few minutes." I replied to her quickly as I turned my attention back to the lighting technician. I took in a deep breath as I tried to finish the task as quickly as possible. Once I finished it, I ran back to the costuming room. Once I ran in, I had so many people asking me different questions about costumes and what they think would be the best course of action. My head was spinning, but I managed to get out all of my opinions out to them, yet once I did that, I was dragged away by Joey to the dance studio so I could watch the staging for What Do You Want Paul. As I watched them, I leaned against the wall. At this point I was so zoned out and just trying to get my thoughts in order. My head felt like it was spinning, but I had to continue moving, Paul would be back tomorrow and maybe then I would get a break.

"So what did you think?" Jeff asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. I shook my head and looked and him with wide eyes. I let out an inaudible sigh.

I forced a smiled onto my face as I looked at him, "I thought it was great, just make sure to run it by with Nick and see what he thinks whenever he is free. Alright I gotta go do some other things, keep up the great work." I walked out and went to a more secluded area backstage. It seemed quiet and that made me smile, but the simple moment lasted only for a few seconds before people started approaching me and asking me all sorts of questions and asking me to do things. My head was reeling with everything that everyone was saying.

~ Robert's POV ~

As I stepped out of the spare practice room, I took in a breath. Everything felt great. Things were all going smoothly and it felt like things were starting to come together. Yet, as I looked over I saw (y/n) being surrounded by a bunch of people. She seemed to be up in arms and it made me worry. Everyone was surrounding her and it made me feel like she was being overwhelmed. So, I did the only thing I could think to do.

I walked over and held out my hand to her through the people, "(y/n) already agreed to come with me to make a coffee run for everyone. She will be back in a bit." (y/n) looked at me as I was her saving grace. She grabbed my hand and I pulled her out of the crowd. I led her outside and to my car where she was finally able to breathe without having anyone in her face asking questions. I let go of her hand as I stepped towards my car. I slid into the driver's seat while she got into the passenger side. I started up the car and slowly pulled out of the parking lot.

~ (Y/n)'s POV ~

My heart finally had a moment to calm down. The quiet made me feel as if I was safe and just knowing I managed to escape the chaos made me feel calm, even if its only temporary. Then I realized that Robert had been the one to pull me away and a blush spread across my cheeks.

I glanced at Robert who was currently driving, "Hey, um, Robert, why did you do that?" My voice was soft as I asked him this question.

"Do what?" He asked me nonchalantly. My heart pounded in my chest as he spoke and I looked down at my hands as if they were the most interesting thing in the car.

I responded, "You know, why did you drag me out of there?" It was clear that I had no idea as to why he would do such a nice thing for me.

He smiled as he glanced over at me for a second before turning his attention back to the road, "Well, I saw you were panicked. It seemed like you were overwhelmed so I dragged you out of there to give you a break from everything even if it is just for twenty minutes. You've been working hard. You deserve to have a break." His intentions were absolutely pure and that made me feel almost special. It did that to make me feel better. A smile spread on my face as I tried to find the right words to say.

"Thank you Robert, I really appreciate it." I thanked him and stared out the window. After a few minutes had passed Robert turned up the radio and I perked up. It didn't even take that long for us to be in a full jam session, both of us singing and laughing and just having fun.

We got everyone who wanted coffee what they wanted and did the same thing on the way back to the theater. Honestly, I had no idea that I would have such fun with Robert, but I did. As we grabbed all of the coffees and got out of the car, Robert spoke, "You know we should hang out more often, it was really fun just hanging out with you, even if it was a short time."

I thought about what he said and I nodded my head, "Yeah, you know, I'd love that! How about tomorrow night? Since we don't have rehearsal?" I added as I looked up at him with a smile.

"That sounds perfect," He replied, with an even bigger smile than I had on my face. We both made our way back into the theater and got back to work, luckily, it wasn't as bad as before, but thank got I got that break. Thank god I had Robert.
