The drive was long and exhausting and during the route Jessamine still could not tell where her mother was taking her.

The radio was playing Justin Bieber on a loop and it was starting to be annoying.

Angaline stopped in front of a very quaint house with a lovely garden bed out front, it nearly bought tears to her eyes.

A lady with auburn hair exits the home waving enthusiastically at the two girls in the car, "Grandma?" Jessamine gets out of the car excitedly and sprints towards the woman.

Jessamine and her grandma share a giant love filled hug, the teenage girl was flabbergasted.

"How are you, love?"

No words in that moment could express the profound joy that the girl was feeling, the situation was still unclear to her.

Her Grandma leads the two inside and forces them both to have a cup of tea and some biscuits.

"what brings you all the way out here, darling?"

Angaline gestures to her daughter whom was across the room playing with her Grandma's very old cat, wilber.

"Wilber! Where are you kitty!" the cat meows loudly and she follows the sound of his loud cries, fear running through her veins.

She pulls back the curtains and see's him standing on the road, a large ute speeding down the street with no intentions of slowing down.

"Wilber! Move!" a shrill scream, can be heard echoing as the cat is flattened underneath the tires.

"Jessamine! Would you like some more tea?" Grandma Topanga, asks from across the room.

She shakes her head and picks the cat up pulling the feline to her chest and stroking his fur.

"You'll be okay."

The day goes by slowly and soon the sun begins to set and Angaline finally stands collecting her phone and car keys from the table.

"are we leaving now, mum?" The older woman nods and forces her daughter to stay on the couch.

"I am, your not."

Confusion and hurt flashes across Jessamine's face as she stares up at her mother, tears threatening to spill.

"But mama, I want to see Danny!"

The mother of three slaps her hand over her mouth stifling a sob as she walks towards the door almost stumbling.

"Wait! I wanna come home with you, please! What about school?"

Jessamine flinches when her mother raises her hand, causing a frown to immediately cross her mother's features.

She brushes a strand of the long brown locks from her daughters face and places a chaste kiss to Jessamine's forehead.

"This is not goodbye, more of a see you later."

Topanga grabs her granddaughters arm and hauls her back into the house despite her old and frail bones giving her own daughter enough time to leave.

It was a heart breaking sight, the sound of a crying and screaming girl trying to reach out for her mother just asking for one more hug or asking if she did anything wrong.

But it was not her fault, it was the family curse.

How Topanga resented it everytime a new vision appeared it always left a bitter taste in her mouth afterwards, she felt guilty for holding as much power as she did.

They only grow stronger by age.

"your bag is in the spare room, you can go there if you wish."

The teenage girl stands, her tear stricken face turning red and she points an accusing finger in her grandma's face.

"you knew! You knew she was going to leave me here with you! Why would you let her dump me into your arms?"

"Jessam-"

The girl cuts her off by stomping her foot angrily just like when she was a child, throwing a tantrum when things weren't going her way.

"I hate you!"

Topanga watches as the girl angrily storms down the hallway and enters the spare room slamming the door behind her, rattling the frames hanging on the wall.

"she'll forgive me..."
