Heidie's POV

I sighed and decided to go out and face her.

Instead of seeing someone regal and sophisticated princess, I saw a woman with a blank expression. Wearing a simple black hoodie, black jeans and a pair of black combat boots, you would never mistaken her for someone with a royal blood, though she still have that intimidating aura that makes you feel like you need to bow down before her.

And I did.

I bowed down with my right knee on the ground and my right hand placed on my left chest. "Greetings, your highness..."

She raised her right hand, motioning me to stand up. "Follow me." she said.

As we reached the hospital's café, we sat down and ordered a cup of coffee.

"We've lost contact for two years." Athena said.

"I'm sorry for my absence, your highness. I will accept any punishment you will bestow upon me." I said.

Narinig ko ang mahina niyang pagtawa, dahilan upang bahagya akong magtaka. She seldom laughs, almost never.

"Silly, why would I punish you? We are both missing in action for the past two years!"

Napakunot-noo ako.
"What do you mean, Your highness?"

She sipped her coffee before she replied," I don't really quite remember, but I woke up in a very unfamiliar room wherein I met a stranger. That time, I don't remember anything, my name, origin, everything. I felt as if I was a newborn child with nothing but blank memories. Being someone with an unknown identity and no records here in the Philippines, I really didn't know what to do that time." uminom ulit siya at napahagikhik.

"Hey, Heidie...wanna know a secret?"
She said like a kid.

Oookay... Lady Athena is really acting weird. She was never childish!

"W-what is is, Your highness?" I asked.

"I am married..."

"Congratulations, Your Highness—"

"...and its not arranged."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko.

Not arranged?!

"But I thought the Royal bloods of Olympus Circle is bound to be arranged to someone by the power of Cronus?" takang tanong ko

Napahagikhik ulit siya, "Let me continue my story. " She sipped her coffee before continuing, "Since I don't know what to do, the stranger offered me some help. In return for giving me an identity, he asked me to marry him."

Her words never failed to shock me.
Nevertheless, I let her continue.

"As time goes by, I fell for him." She smiled, but there's a tint of sadness in the depth of her smile. "But I left him."

Tumingin siya sa akin. She have this unreadable expression on her face. "You're married, too. Right? And you also left him." she stated.

My heart feels as if it was being gripped really tight.

I didn't utter a word.

"You know why I didn't chose to punish you even though I must do so? Because I know you're suffering already. Emotional pain is more deadly than physical pain. It drives us to act on impulse."

She looked at me softly and held my hands, "Heidie, I am no Cronus nor Eros. I am not as heartless as Ares and my other relative. Somehow, you knew me as the emotionless Athena. Lady Athena who conquers a battle and always leave with a victorious smile of triumph, but I am also a woman. And I can feel what you're feeling right now. I heard what happened to you. Our situation might be different but the pain we feel is almost the same. I am speaking to you, not as your Lady Athena but as your friend. Don't let this heartache break you."

I smiled...

Somehow, I feel her genuine care for me. She always shows her affectionate side when I feel down or hurt and I really appreciate that.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"By the way, what was your husband's name?" I asked.

"Chace. Chace Kingsley Imperial."

My eyes widened suddenly.

"Chace? My husband's friend?!"

She chuckled. "Yep. When my husband and I visited Alfieri in your mansion, I saw you but I can't remember you just yet. I just felt as if I've seen you somewhere. After that, my memories started to go back slowly through dreams. So, I owe you that one." she winked at me.

I can see some changes on Athena. She became more vocal, more jolly and quite childish.

"I heard that the other Royal Bloods are here." I changed the topic.

"Yep. They were sent by Cronus to look for me after I went missing. They still haven't reported that they found me. They're planning something wicked. After all, they have Eros as their leader. Oh, and speaking of Eros. Did you know that he was the one responsible for my Amnesia? That Insane prick asked Demeter to make a drug that remove memories, and then he made me as his test subject! See?! That crazy motherfucker used me to execute his plan in taking down our grandfather,Cronus!" she said. "But since its Eros, I know that he won't let us die. He never ran out of plan, always going on the flow, he is inevitable."

She then looked at me, "Your sister is going to be fine. Apollo is one of the doctors that will operate her. Trust on my cousin's ability, your sister will be safe."

"Thank you, Lady Athena. I owe you mine and my sister's life. I honestly don't know what to do right now." I bowed my head.

"Be strong and defend yourself. Your sister waa right, you don't deserve what happened to you. You have everything, the looks, the skills, the wealth and the power. You are a Viscount's daughter. Don't let them step on you. Raise your chin up!" she said.

"This is Alexander Montoire's Hospital, and he is my husband's cousin. Sooner or later, you are going to meet your husband. Its up to you if you will still grow weak upon him or grow strong to defend yourself from the lies his family had put up on your name." Lady Athena stood up and so did I.

"Take care of yourself, Heidie."
I bowed to her as she walked away.

I had made up my mind.

No one will drag me down.

I 'm tired of being humiliated and degraded, I'm tired of being a martyr.

It's time to be the old me...
