Heidie's POV

Three hours...
I've been lying in my bed for three fucking hours.

Iniisip ko pa rin ang mga pinag-usapan namin ng mga maharlika. Especially, the king's order.
It is something I can never decline.

Napabuntong hininga ako at patuloy na inaalala ang mga pinag-usapan namin...

(5 hours ago...)

"So, Will you accept my request?" King Eros sipped his tea. "

"Yes, Your Highness." I managed to answer despite the shock towards his revealations about his identity.

Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na siya ang hari. Everyone stated that the new king is more wicked and ruthless than the former one, but King Eros doesn't look wicked. In fact, he looks really gentle, calm, unyielding and angelic.

Maya-maya pa'y may inilabas siyang folder at agad na iniabot sa akin.

"That is the background information about your subject. You agreed in doing a favor of mine so I don't expect any disapproval nor hear you abandon the mission." he said.

I nodded and opened the folder.

Bigla akong nanlamig sa nakita at nabasa ko.

Unang bumungad sa akin ay ang litrato ng isang lalaking unang nagpatibok at bumasag sa puso ko.

My mission, my subject...

...is my husband, Alfieri.

"Alfieri Montalvo has been recieving death threats from an anonymous person. We still don't know what their motives are nor how many are there who wanted him dead, but the only thing we are sure is that he is in eminent danger." King Eros said. "And since you are the only one who formed the closest bond with the subject, it will be easy for you to gain his trust..."

Easy for me to get his trust?

Trust?

How can I get something I lost because of a mistake I never did?

"Olympus Circle is counting on you, Heidie. His life is what matters right now because he is the key to the safety of Olympus Circle. Failing to save him means failing in making a bond with UCIO. The future of Olympus Circle will be in vain and everyone's life will be in danger."

Madaling isipin pero mahirap gawin.

Third Person's POV

A truck hit Alfieri's car, making it turn upside down with a strong impact.

The driver of the truck went down and walked towards the car and opened the door to the drivers seat.

He pulled the unconcious man out of the car and laid him down.

He checked his pulse, only to figure out that he's still alive but barely breathing.

The man sighed before pulling something out of his pocket.
A small miniature suitcase.

Inside of it was a syringe and a bottle of a blue liquid, a new drug formulated but not legalized and approved by the World Health Organization.

The man injected the drug on Alfieri's nape, hitting a nerve and after that, the man stood up and left Alfieri alone and unconciously bleeding to the ground.

The man went insdie the black lambo parked nearby. He opened his phone and called someone...

"How is it?" the other person spoke on the other line.

The man smirked. "Done."

     The sound of the ambulance's siren became louder and louder as it approaches the area of the accident.

A car was seen to be in the middle of the road but the driver of it was laid down on the road. They immediately sent him to the Hospital.

"How is he?" Dr. Montoire asked.

"He's dying, sir. His body is unresponsive, his vitals are unstable. The patients seems to be under the influence of alcohol and his injuries are quite serious. We need to perform a surgery, immediately."

The Doctors and Nurses proceeded to the operation room.

Alexander Montoire cursed inside his head. He didn't knew that his friend go to far. His depression is serious but he didn't expect this to happen now.

Ayaw man niyang iwanan ang kaibigan kanina ngunit may kailangan ein siyang asikasuhin. Akala niya ay kakayanin pa ni Alfieri ang lahat but then... He was wrong. He failed as a doctor and he failed as a friend.

Just then, Chace along with Ivanne and Alfieri's Family approached him.

"How's my son, Alexander?" Alfieri's mother asked. They all hadd those worried look on their faces.

"The doctors are doing their best inside. Please, do pray for him." Alexander said.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" Chace said.

They went to Alfieri's office.

"This is so fucked up." Alfieri said.

"I don't think it was an accident." Chace said.

"Dude, he's drunk." Alexander said.

"Nope. Someone knocked his car off."
Ivanne showed him a video. It was a CCTV Footage on the place of accident.

Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Alexander.
Maayos na pumarada sa gilid ng kalsada ang kotse ni Alfieri. Maya-maya pa ay binangga ng isang truck ang kotse niya. Kitang-kita nito kung paano bumaliktad ang kotse ng kaibigan niya.

"Putangina! Sinong gumawa nito sa kaniya?!" gigil na tanong ni Alexander.

"Few months ago, someone has been sending him death threats. He didn't say anything much. Ang sabi niya lang sa akin ay may hinahanap daw silang dokumento sa kaniya. The documents must be something really important from tjose who are chasing him. Hindi naman nabanggit si Alfieri kung nasa kaniya ba yung mga dokumento o wala, but the fact still remains na hindi basta-basta ang mga taong gustong magpapatay sa kaniya." Chace said.

Maya-maya pa ay nakarinig sila ng pagkatok sa pinto at pumasok ang isang nurse.
"D-Doc, ito po yung results ni Mr. m
Montalvo."

Agad na kinuha ni Alexander ang mga files.
He scanned the content and shooked his head.
"Those guys wanted him dead. His injuries are really serious. Threee of his ribs are broken. He had a serious concussion and there's a serious trauma on his brain." Alexander halted and frowned.

"His blood. Somethings wrong with his blood samples. He was under the influence of another substance other than alcohol. I-I don't get it. Fuck!" Alexander took his intercom and dialed the number of the hospitals laboratory.

"This is Doctor Montoire speaking, I you check Mr. Montalvo's blood. Find the substance that was mixed in his blood and see if it is lethal to his body. This is an Emergency case, I repeat Emergency case. Report to me as soon as possible." Alexander said.

"What is it?" Ivanne asked.

"I don't know. Bago pa lang ito pero isa lang ang masasabi ko, kungbano man ang inilagay ng lalaking iyon sa katawan ni Alfieri ay maaaring ikapahamak nito. " saad ni Alexander.

"I'll personally investigate this matter. For now, please guard him and keep him alive. I will hunt down whoever did this to our friend." Chace said.
