Chapter Eight

Heidie's POV

Tahimik lamang akong naka-upo sa loob ng private plane na pagmamay-ari ng mga royal bloods.
Sakay ng eroplano, papunta kami ngayon sa Pilipinas upang isagawa ang plano.

Sa totoo lang ay kinakabahan parin ako sa utos ni King Eros.

Ni hindi ko nga alam kung saan ako magsisimula. Lumayas ako sa puder ni Alfieri ngunit heto at bumabalik nanaman ako. Ano nalang kaya ang sasabihin niya? Ng pamilya niya? Na hindi ko kayang mawala siya? Na hindi ako mabubuhay kung wala ang pera niya?

Nalabuntong hininga ako.
Mukhang napansin naman ng taong naka-upo sa harap ko na problemado ako.

Nemesis, the executioner of King Eros,  looked at me with her usual emotionless face. "Nervous?"

"Yup." I answered.

"Don't think too much about it. You can think of some alternative way when we arrive in the Philippines." I nodded.

Though, deep inside it's still bugging me. Just then Lady Athena walked towards me.
"Sabihin mo lang kung hindi mo kayang gawin to. Hindi ka naman namin pinipilit, I'll talk to Eros. I'm sure he'll understand."

Understand? I highly doubt that.

"It's okay, Lady Athena. Wala na akong magagawa kahit pa umayaw ako. You know King Eros better than I do, you know what he is capable of. Lahat ng gusto niya nakukuha niya. Siguradong hahanap siya ng paraan para lang masunod kung ano man ang pinaplano niya. Even if it is the most cruel and illegal way."

Lady Athena sighed. "I'm sorry. I know what you're feeling right now. Hindu ko nga alam kung paano ko haharapin ang asawa ko. Chace must've hated me right now."

"You only did that to protect him, but now I think you can still save your relationship. I can see that you both love each other, you can still work it out." I smiled at her. "After all, you are the goddess of wisdom. The smartest among the royal bloods."

Lady Athena smiled and laughed,
" Ano ka ba! Ako na ang nahihiya sa mga pinagsasasabi mo!" she looked at me sincerely in the eyes, "Thank you, Heidie. For everything."

"I'm always at your service, My lady." I smiled.

She rolled her eyes towards my remark, "Cut the formalities! We're best friends, okay? Magkaibigan yung mga asawa natin kaya dapat magkumare din tayo!"

Napatawa nalamang ako sa sinabi niya. Saglit lang kaming natigilan ni Lady Athena nang magsalita si Nemesis. "Can I ask you something? You've been from the Philippines so I guess you already know the place."

Hmmm...

Na-curious tuloy ako.
Ano kayang tatanungin nito? Tungkol nanaman siguro sa mission.

"What is it, dear Nemesis?" Lady Athena asked.

Ramdam ko na maski sina Princess Aphrodite at ang ibang Royal Bloods ay nakikinig din sa usapan namin at nag-aantay sa kung anuman ang sasabihin ni Nemesis.

"Well, there's this thing in the Philippines that I wanna try. "

Napataas ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya.

"There's this thing, this orange thing, with egg inside... Like a very small egg. I dunno, maybe that's a quail's egg or something-"

"You mean Kwek-Kwek? That's very delicious, Nemesis! I think we should buy tons of it as soon as we land." Napatingin kaming lahat kay King Eros.

How the heck did he even know kwek-kwek? He's a King and yet he knows a thing or two about a commoner's food?!

Mukhang hindi lang ako ang nagulat dahil biglang napalingon rin sa kaniya ang ibang Royal Bloods.
