I never found peace in places that mattered,
In the sunsets that glittered and showered.
I always wondered what I would be like,
If I wasn't just the girl that he liked.
I would've been happier, infinitely I am sure,
If every part of me was still pure.
Pure of love and shining lights,
With someone else in my sights.
But you ran me over multiple times,
Hit me with words and fake smiles.
Made me wonder what I did wrong.
When all I've done is wait so long.
This is the irony that I never expected,
Those moments I never regretted.
I hope that one day I will find it truly,
To whom I will bare my damaged soul fully.
