(I hope everyone is enjoying this series! I have plenty of chapters to write but I am committed to telling this story! Please enjoy!)
The ringing of Lux's cellphone startled her awake practically knocking Mimi off the bed. She quickly grabbed it seeing Jinx had texted her telling her she was going to cut class today to play at the arcade. She sighed not really surprised but at least wanting her to take her education more seriously. Mimi was still sleepy as he cuddled on the pillow falling back asleep. She chuckled as she quietly headed to the bathroom. While she was taking a shower, she couldn't help but think about the past three days. She became a Star Guardian and saved people from a monster plant that nearly killed her brother. Her brother thankfully was only at the hospital for a day recovering but Jarvan insisted on taking a few days off to make sure Garen didn't push himself. Finishing up her morning routine, she was in her uniform walking past her brother's room and seeing Jarvan and Garen cuddled up together fast asleep. She chuckled to herself. They were practically brothers with how much they hung out growing up. She went to the kitchen and decided she'd make breakfast for a change. She decided on some scrambled eggs and toast with jam. While she was preparing everything, she could hear the shower running. "Most likely Garen." She was popping bread into the toaster when she heard some footsteps "Hey Gare I hope you're feeling a bit better today. I decided I could make breakfast for a change-!" She felt some water drip on her and looked back to see an unfamiliar chest with scars. She followed the trail of water up to see Jarvan wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist, his dark brown hair slicked back almost looking like oil. A smirk graced his lips, his sky blue eyes looking at Lux adoringly. "Hey princess." She immediately turned her attention back to the food her cheeks a deep red "J-JARVAN PLEASE PUT CLOTHES ON!!" Almost as if on command, Garen came rushing out and she could hear Jarvan laughing as Garen threatened him. Lux sighed softly trying to get the image of Jarvan's muscles and scars out of her mind. Her relationship with Jarvan was tricky. While he was Garen's best friend, she had always had a crush on him. It seemed the feeling was mutual for a long time but being 5 years apart in age was a disadvantage. Eventually, he began to have girlfriends making Lux feel the attention was just him treating her like a little sister. But as of late, he's taking his future seriously and seems intent on being patient for her. Unfortunately she just didn't know where she stood anymore with her feelings for him. Besides it's not like she wasn't allowed to like other people anyways.
Lux went about the normal motions of school days. Walk to the station, hop on the train, head towards school and then into class. Only thing missing was her best friend, Jinx. She knew she would be slacking off today but she really did miss her on these days. She was in Coach Braum's class finishing up her mile, when she looked towards the locker rooms and saw a faint pink light from the windows. Of course her curiosity was teeming at the bits, so she quickly completed her mile and headed to the locker room. She entered quietly hearing a door on the other side close. Lux was wary as she checked every stall and row, eventually finding nothing. She sighed as she took a quick shower. As she was getting dressed, she opened her locker and a piece of paper fell to the ground. "That's strange..." She picked up the paper and opened it revealing the words 'Don't trust the First Star. Or else.' She gulped softly looking around seeing no one else. She called for Mimi and he appeared "What is it Lux?" He read the note and groaned "There are some who don't believe in the First Star's power or authority. You need to be very careful about who knows about your identity." Nodding, she folded it pocketing it for now. There had to be other Star Guardians and she was going to find them!
"There! Finally finished!" Lux had just finished hanging up the final poster for her campaign for student council. Class president of course, nothing less for a Crownguard! The sun was already beginning to set as she headed towards her last class to grab her things. Suddenly, she felt herself become very cold and clammy. She rubbed her arms "M-Mimi. I-Is this one of those monsters?" She could feel him tense up on top of her head "Be careful Lux. This one seems powerful." She nodded whispering softly "Light it up!" Transforming immediately as she began to investigate the epicenter of the power. She carefully walked the halls trying not to slip on the ice slowly forming. She stumbled upon the science lab "It's definitely here but, I don't see anything-!" Before she could react, an icicle shot past her face managing to slice a sliver of her hair as she dodged. She looked for the origin seeing a towering figure of a woman covered in frost and icicles. Her voice echoed "Give me your power little star!" Lux yelped as she jumped back and started running out of the class. Down the hall she was almost crying "What the heck is that thing?!" Mimi spoke up "It's a Frejlordian! Be extremely careful she could freeze you quickly!" She huffed and puffed before finding herself blocked off by a sheet of ice. She cursed softly, turning around to see her at the end of the hall. "Don't resist my dear. The universe is vast and cold you might as well embrace it." She could feel her body go limp and her will fade. The creature was right. Nothing mattered and she might as well just freeze forever. At least it would be comfortable. She made it sound so nice. "ZEPHYR!" The sheet of ice behind Lux shattered from a violet tornado knocking the ice creature out a window. Snapping back to her senses, Lux looked behind her to see a familiar face. She was also a student in her school. Her name was Janna as far as she knew. The beautiful girl looked at Lux with her icey eyes "Are you unharmed?" She nodded "Thank you. I didn't know you were..." Her sentence trailed off as she saw the ice begin to melt and evaporate. Janna sighed softly "She's not defeated but at least she's gone for now."
