Lux was sitting at one of the benches at the boot camp, watching Jarvan teach a class to the trainees. He seemed very serious and stern as he was trying to get them to be able to stand at attention and not break. He was saying all sorts of funny things seriously to get them to crack. For the most part, it was working. She was thinking about Jinx and why she had disappeared so suddenly. They had been friends for so long she didn't want to think she could have been kidnapped by the unseen force. She heard some shouts as she glanced up to see the training finish up. She examined the Staff Sergeant head to toe, admiring his figure in his olive t-shirt and camo pants that laid perfectly across his muscles. By the time she made it up to his eyes, those cerulean orbs were staring back while he listened to the other instructor. He shot her a wink and she looked away, blood rushing to her cheeks. She sighed thinking back on the past month. It had barely been a week since Poppy joined their team, and only a day after she won the title of class president. A lot of great things were happening and Jarvan even wanted to take her out on a date, no expectations. She admitted it was very kind of him, even listening to him argue with Garen last night to be able to take her out. Which she was precisely there to talk with him about. He began to slowly jog over his dog tags hitting his chest softly. He smiled brightly "Hey princess!" She stood up still blushing pouting softly "M-Maybe don't call me that in public!" A hearty laugh escaped his lips as he stood perfectly in front of her so she didn't have to strain too much to look up. "Listen. I heard you talking to my brother last night about taking me on a date tonight. You could've just asked me, I'm old enough to make my own decisions." She crossed her arms as he smiled nervously scratching the back of his head. "W-Well, I did tell you I respect you enough to ask you for a possible shot. But I don't want your brother to think I have ill intentions, he knew more about my dating tendencies than you do. I didn't want him to think I was taking advantage of you." That was certainly not what she was expecting to hear as she blinked rapidly "Uh. Okay! Alright! I just wanted to clear things up!" She looked away blushing. He leaned in whispering "I'll pick you up tonight, princess." He kissed her forehead, giving a wink, and jogged back to the barracks. She sighed as she headed back towards the front, waiting for the bus, and heading back into the city. Feeling her heart flutter with the promise of a romantic evening. She was barely even listening to Mimi chat her up.
Once home, she had begun to prep for her dinner with Jarvan. Had she ever really been on a date? Sure she had had boys crush on her but she never entertained the idea because of Jarvan. Even when he started dating, she couldn't help but hope that one day he would return her affections. Looking back at her corkboard full of pictures, reminiscing about her childhood. A lot of things had changed even without Lux really wanting them to. Sighing softly she could still feel his arms wrapped around her at her parents' funeral. She never did want to leave the safety of those arms. But now she was able to keep herself safe. That was priceless. Focusing back to the task at hand, she decided to go with something casual but enough to make her look more mature. She wore a black sweater, pink plaid mini-skirt, black thigh-high socks, and ankle boots. She kept her iconic pigtails adding a black headband to contrast the color. She went a little bolder with her makeup extending her eyeliner and adding a light brown smokey eye. Topping off with a glitter gloss. She admired herself in the mirror while Mimi watched on top of her desk. "Wow Lux! You look so pretty! You always do but even prettier!" He jumped into her arms, nuzzling into her neck as she laughed "Thanks Mimi! Alright lemme grab my coat and bag. J should be here soon!" Setting Mimi down, she was putting her coat on when she heard a knock on the door. She excitedly rushed to the door, but Garen slid in quicker swinging the door open with his chest puffed up. He looked down at Jarvan. "Hey." Jarvan stifled a laugh "Hey Gare..." looking past Garen's arm he smiled sweetly at her "...hey Lux!" Garen squinted before moving out of the way letting Lux walk up. She smiled softly at Jarvan's blushing face "I'm ready for you!" He blushed even more at her words "Y-Yeah. Th-These are for you." He pulled the arm behind his back to reveal pink roses. She lit up grabbing and smelling them "Wow J. Thanks~!" She handed them to Garen "Can you put them in a vase in my room, please?" He mumbled, taking the flowers and walking off. Jarvan offered his arm and Lux took it as they walked out the door towards his car.
