Chapter 5

Yoongi slide the door open, revealing Jin on the bed, reading. "Oh, you're here." Jin said. Yoongi sat on the edge of the bed. Jin had his hand bandaged as his face were bruised. "Who did this to you?" Yoongi asked. "Gwanchana." Jin reassured as he softly smiled. "I'll kill whoever did this to you." Yoongi sternly said. Jin grinned, "Hey Yoongles." He called out. "What?" Yoongi snapped. "What does the couch said to the other couch?" Jin asked. "Hyung please.." "wE aRe SoFa ApArT" Jin laughed hysterically as Yoongi sighed. "Hyung, please, hajima." Yoongi said. "What? iT's SoFa KiNg FuNnY!" Added Jin. Yoongi face palmed as Jin continues to laugh at his own joke. "I'm starting to question myself why am I friends with you." Yoongi sighed. Just then, Jin's gaze then landed on the lyrics sheet grasped in Yoongi's hold. "Oh? You wrote new lyrics?" Jin asked. Yoongi nodded before passing the papers to him. Jin carefully reads what Yoongi had wrote before raising an eyebrow. "Did you lose one of your lyrics sheet? I couldn't find page 2." Jin asked. Yoongi's eyebrows furrowed as Jin passed back his lyrics sheet. He fumbled through his handwritten papers, indeed one of his papers is missing. "I think I probably left it in my house." Yoongi calmly said. Jin nodded, "It's really nice and relatable, I mean it. Is your mom still against this?" Jin asked. Yoongi nodded before sighing, "I don't get why can't I be free.." Yoongi mumbled. Jin patted Yoongi's back gently, he does this everytime Yoongi's upset or unsettled, it usually calms Yoongi down. "She's just worried for you Yoongi. Try and talk to her about it, tell her how important music is to you." Jin softly said. "She'll never understand.." Yoongi replied. He hung his head low as Jin continues to pat his back. Just like that, they both stayed there in silence.

The bell rang as everyone started to pack their stuff to head to the canteen. "Oh my god yesssss!! It's lunch time!" Jisoo exclaimed. Jennie shakes her head as Irene placed her hand on her forehead. "Typical Jichu.." Irene laughed. The three girls was about to leave before Seulgi called out for Irene. "Irene-shi! Do you mind if we join you guys for lunch?" Seulgi asked. "Umm.. I mean, umm.." Irene trailed off before glancing at Jennie and Jisoo. "Don't force yourself if you don't want to." Joy said. "Well, do you guys mind?" Irene asked her two friends. "No, not at all." Jennie smiled. "Great! Let's go before the chickens are sold out!" Jisoo said before dragging Irene and Jennie with her. "Yah! Slow down Kim Jichu! YAH!" 

The seven girls settled down on a table as students constantly greeted Jennie. "Ohohoho, looks like Jennie here got herself some fangirls." Jisoo teased as she nudged Irene, who also smirked widely at Jennie. "God, just eat." Jennie said. The two laughed as Jennie rolled her eyes. "So, how long have you guys been friends?" Wendy asked, looking at Irene. "Oh, quite a long time." Jisoo replied. "I was actually asking Irene, but thanks." Wendy smiled. "Oh, um, my bad." Jisoo awkwardly replied. Jennie  and Jisoo glanced at each other before shrugging their shoulders. The four new students continues to chat, but mostly to Irene. "Hey Jen. I don't know why but I have a gut feeling that we shouldn't trust those four girls." Jisoo whispered to Jennie. "Nah, it's probably because they're new here." Jennie replied. "Hm, maybe." Jisoo nodded. Jennie then glanced at her watch. Five more minutes before the competition starts. she stood up, "Nice meeting y'all, but I need to go now." Jennie said. "Wait, where are you going?" Irene asked. "There's a basketball competition later on, I kind of promised Yoongi I'll be there to watch it." Jennie said. "Ahh, Min Yoongi eh?" Irene and Jisoo teased. "Very funny you guys.. I'll be going now." Jennie said. "Wait, let us join you." Yeri said. Jennie turned to Yeri, "Huh? It's fine, no need to force yourself-" "Ani, I want to watch it. Besides, I want to know who this Min Yoongi is anyways." Yeri said. That sentence alone, somehow made Jennie's stomach coiled. "Um, sure." Jennie replied.

"Yo Yoongs!"

Yoongi turned to the source of the voice before smiling, his gummy smile revealed. "You came." Yoongi said. "Well, you wanted me to be here." Jennie said. "You don't have to force yourself, I was just kidding that time." Yoongi said. "Hmm, I know. But I came here willingly, besides, I wanna know how good are you in basketball." Jennie added. Just like that, they both flased their real smile again.
