Chapter 19

"Jin!"

Jisoo snapped her head towards the direction of the tall boy, with wide and broad shoulders; she wanted to wave at him, to greet him a simple 'Good morning'.

And yet, her courage seems to be worn out.

Jin however, broke the eye contact before moving to a seat far away from Kim Jisoo. Jisoo bit onto her lips harshly, why is everyone being so hard on her today? On the other hand, both Yoongi and Jennie were obviously confused by the sudden change of attitude from Jin. 

"Did they fought?" Jennie whispered onto the blonde boy's ears. Yoongi only shrugged his shoulders, "I'll go accompany him. Sorry Jennie." "Don't worry, go ahead. I'll comfort Jisoo." said Jennie.

And the two then parted ways for the rest of the day.

Three weeks has passed quickly since the incident happened; and the cheerful Jisoo they know had completely gave a surprised to her friends. It was obvious she had gotten thinner, the eye bags under her eyes looks extremely heavy. She neither cries in hunger, nor does she even tries to eat anymore. 

As her only close friend now, Jennie was shocked to see Jisoo in this state. Indeed she is concerned about Jisoo's health, but Jisoo would never spill whatever is bothering her to Jennie. Yoongi had to swoop in and stop her at some point; the blonde boy adviced her to best leave her dear friend alone.

As for Jin, he does finds himself concerned about Jisoo's state occasionally, but in the end he still chose to keep his distance. For the past few weeks, Jisoo had tried to reach out for Jin. She told him she wanted to explain the situation, and how she desperately needs him at the very moment.

"Didn't you said you'll never leave me alone? Why are you avoiding me..?"

He had to avoid her for now, he needs to collect his thoughts. For a murderer who he had claimed to be friends with, she indeed did took someone important from him in his life.

And yet, it felt so hard for Jin to just let go..

Jisoo wasn't concentrating on her class, she couldn't. Her stomach growled wildly that she's sure everyone near her could hear it. However, she paid her hunger no attention. Her motivation is lost, her positivity is gone, her strength is drained, and her paths are unclear. 

What can I do?
Why am I so useless?
No wonder they hate me..
Should I try apologizing to Jin physically?
But he wouldn't read my messages..

The list of her thoughts go on, growing longer and longer, further and further..

What can Jisoo do? What can she do to get her out of this confusing and stressful maze? What can the girl do to find her way out of the maze? To gather her answers, to solve her mysteries, to piece up her puzzles; What can Kim Jisoo do?

Nothing, in the end like always, she will forever have the name 'murderer' tainted on her soul. And she could never run away from it no matter how hard she tries to clear herself up.

"Seulgi! Our plan worked!"

Something about Jisoo did not leave Seulgi satisfied.

The girl watched as Jisoo walked down the stairs slowly until her appearance shrunk to nothing in her eyes. Her group of friends, excluding Irene, were happily praising each other for getting their plan succeeded. 

But why wasn't Seulgi feeling satisfied? Isn't this the result she wants? Wasn't she the one who swored upon her life that she'll do anything to make Kim Jisoo suffer?

Then why? Why wasn't she feeling even an ounce of pure satisfaction, victory or even happiness after knowing her plan succeeded? 

Part of her pitied the girl she claimed to hate, and the other part of her was trying to convince her mind that what she did was right. 

Why didn't Kim Jisoo tried clearing up her name, or even the misunderstanding going on around the school compound? Words were spread so fast, that almost everyone here misunderstood Kim Jisoo as a cold and evil murderer.

But why did she ignored it? 

Jisoo plopped onto her bed; she blankly stared at her ceiling. She felt so hopeless, useless..

Who could help her anyways?

Jennie doesn't know who Taehyung is- was, and she's already going through a hard time with her abusive step-father. She couldn't even reach out for Jin, who she badly needed his help. He refused to talk to her, declined her calls and even blocked her on social apps.

And as for Yoongi..

Jisoo let out a sigh. For sure he does consider her as his friend, but Yoongi trying to help her and wanting to listen to her problems? That's a wild imagination and a fake hope for Jisoo.

The girl felt so so miserable. Her tears were threatening to fall and yet, not one was caught escaped. 

Alone..

Her only fear is meeting up with her today, Kim Jisoo is indeed lonely.

She was snapped out of her thoughts when her phone rang loudly, the vibrations trembled the mattress of her bed. Jisoo didn't check who the caller ID is, though she did thought it might be Jennie calling to check on her again, the call was answered without any hesitation.

"You," Yoongi's voice echoed through her ears clearly. "I'm here, I'll listen to your problems."

And that broke down the wall which she had bottled her tears.
