ZAYN'S POV:

I was crying. I didn't know why, but the fear of losing her scared me more. I held her close to my chest as if someone would pull her away. I thought about screaming for help, but then I realized no one could hear me.

I tried to call someone on my phone, but its screen was shattered and turned off. It must have happened when the man shot at me, and I rushed to protect myself. I attempted to turn it on but failed. Looking at my blood-covered hands and jacket, I felt scared for the first time. I held Em in my arms again and tried to wake her, but she didn't respond.

That's when I heard voices from different directions. At first, I couldn't understand, but then I heard them calling out for Emily. Two boys came running towards us, shouting for Emily. I was confused about who they were calling.

The boy with brown hair took Em from my arms and pushed me back. I soon realized Em was short for Emily. I could see the worry in both of their eyes.

The man with brown hair glared at me and attempted to rouse Emily. As he examined her injuries, his face turned pale, causing me even more concern. The man with dark chocolate curly hair, in a worried tone, inquired of the one holding Emily, "John, is she okay? Are there any bullets inside her? Any idea?"

John responded with great concern, stating, "She's breathing slowly and her body feels cold. The bullets are still inside; there are no exit wounds. We must treat to her promptly. Let's take her and leave."

I felt anxious. I wanted her to receive treatment, but I didn't want her to leave, especially in her current condition. For some reason, deep down, I felt a sense of familiarity with her, as if I had experienced this situation before, but I couldn't recall when or with whom. I observed silently as John lifted her, preparing to leave.

"John, hold on. We're quite a distance from our base. It's too risky to return there with an injured Emily. We should take her to a nearby hotel room for treatment; Sarah can assist. We can't leave him here either," he remarked, gesturing towards the lifeless man on the ground, shot by Emily.

"But Daniel, you know we're not safe here, especially with Emily's condition deteriorating," John's voice trembled with emotion.

"Listen, John, I understand your concern for her, but there must be a place where we can take her," Daniel reasoned.

Then, I spoke up, almost for the first time in a while, "You can bring her to my hotel suite. It's not far from here. She'll be safe there, and no one will know. You can gather all the necessary supplies there."

John immediately refused my offer of help, stating, "No. We don't need your help. It's because of you that she's in this terrible condition. If anything happens to her, I won't let you off the hook," he finished with a menacing look. I swallowed nervously, puzzled by his words.

"John, maybe he can assist. He's from a famous boy band and has the necessary security. We'll be safe with him. Right now, Emily's life is the priority, and his hotel isn't too far, you know that," Daniel suggested.

John fell silent, casting a glance at Emily and then at me. Eventually, he relented, saying, "Alright, Daniel, if you say so. Get the car ready, and we'll go." I felt a sense of relief upon hearing this.

Daniel quickly retrieved the car, and we promptly entered. Once inside, Daniel took the driver's seat, leaving me to sit in the passenger seat as John sat in the back with Emily. He held Emily close, which I found unsettling. Meanwhile, Daniel made calls. The first call was to a girl named Sarah, who I assumed would assist Emily. I wondered why they didn't go to the hospital, but considering their age and Emily's injury from a gunshot, avoiding the hospital to evade the police made sense.

Daniel had the call connected to Bluetooth. The next call was to someone, instructing them to take care of the man we had left in the alley. I was taken aback when Daniel drove straight to our hotel without using GPS or consulting me. I was surprised and planned to ask about this later.

I swiftly got down and opened the door for John. I requested to hold Emily, but he declined and carried her himself.

We hurried to the elevator and entered. Throughout the journey, our attention remained on Emily. It dawned on me that Daniel and John were the same individuals we had encountered at the Meet and Greet with Emily. I pondered their relationship with her, as John's care indicated something deeper.

Upon reaching our floor, I led the way to our suite and held the door open for them. John promptly proceeded towards my room without any directions from me, surprising me. Daniel followed suit. As I was closing the door, Daniel intervened, saying, "I will go fetch Sarah." I nodded, and he left to find her.

Entering my room, I noticed John seated beside Emily, removing her jacket. He also retrieved two guns and a couple of small knives from her tall boots. After brushing aside the hair covering her face, he requested a first aid kit. I swiftly fetched it and handed it to him.

Shortly after, Daniel returned with Sarah, who carried two bags. She instructed us to wait outside. John tenderly kissed Emily's forehead, and we all moved to the living room to wait.
