Chapter 2

Clarice's POV:

I sat on the wooden chair behind a round table.
Jack sat infront of me and eric to the right.

"I am sorry"

I said quietly. They waited for me  to eat and i took a while to put on the clothes and come here. It was just a real torture to move.

I had pulled the white shirt over my head with tears in my eyes. I just felt pathetic because I couldnt even move properly.

Every step from that bed to  this table hurt so much I thought I was Ariel.
Yes, I mean that Mermaid, as far as I remember she felt like walking on glass with every step.

That was how I felt except that that pain was more in my legs.

The wide cuts from the fight were sown by Will so they were closed now.

Will came with water and some glasses and sat down to my left.

"Don't worry" he said "Its understandable actually I find it remarkable that you have managed to get here".

Oh my i am so embarrassed but didnt know what to say. So I just nodded.

"So.... who are you?"

Jack asked in a way that made me irritated. I mean he didnt sound mean, thats weird.

What was I supposed to answer? I mostly showed myself to others as a guy. My cape covered me completely so that u could only see my dark brown boots. So I was Elijah.... but now ...they knew I was a girl.

Should I tell them my real Identity?
The true heir of this Kingdom?

Jack waved his hand infront of my face "hello?"

"Clarice" I declared.

"Sounds like a aristocratic name, where do you come from?" Jack asked again in his arrogant tone.

The People in this country hated Aristocrats, they thought they were heartless, dumb, cruel ,selfcentered  and so much more.

And all because of Bates..... This country used to be so peaceful....

" I am just the daughter of a Soldier"
I said in a calm, sad tone.

"My Father wanted to rebel and trained us to fight but eventually he got .....  and so .. did the rest of my family "

I bursted out in tears because even though I wasnt the daughter of a Soldier my whole family was killed. I never said these words and couldnt say them now either.

Will tried to calm me down. I shook my head and breathed in deeply.

"Sorry" I said firmly, while wiping away my tears and putting on an emotionless face.
"Thats all to me."

"Dont worry and dont apologize so much I am sorry that...  we didnt want to make you sad again."  Will said.

"Thanks for letting me stay here" I said.

"How long are you planning to stay"
Jack replied in a tone that made my blood boil. He sounded like he was doing me a favour and I was a burden.

" I can go now if you mind. "

Oh my if he wanted me to feel like a helpless person I wouldnt let him. I can go. I don't need anyone's help.

"Stay until you are back to normal"
Eric said.

Woah this was the first sentence he said since I entered this room.

He had such a beautiful deep, calm , slow way of talking it comforted me the second he started speaking.

Why didn't I notice before?
It seemed my observation was different now.

So I looked at Eric again. Now I could see everyone clearly.

His chocolate brown hair, his light skin, dark dreamy eyes, perfect nose (i mean thats actually impossible right?).

Oh my gosh he looked so good as if he was an anime character. I never expected a human to look like that.

Then I noticed him looking back at me. My face turned as red as a tomato and I felt my face getting really hot.

I broke the eye contact and started staring at the food.

I hope no one had noticed this.

I got fresh bread with soup, which was a pretty common food for poor People. I mean actually its great they even have food.

Most People didnt know how to cook anything else I wondered if this was the case here.

Jack started clearing his throat to get my attention.

I looked up from my food into those bright green Eyes. He brushed through his black hair with his hand.

" So .... I guess its our turn now.
I am Jack. I was also one of the rebels. To be exact I was the leader of the revolt which had the most success but still failed by  a small detail. So I am wanted now."

He ended telling his story as Will started his.

" I am Will, but you probably know that. I was the son of a general but I wasnt interested in fighting etc. So .......
To be honest...I want to be a cook. But my Father wouldnt let me and forced me to learn to fight so.... I decided to escape."

Now everyone was looking at Eric.

" I am Eric. I don't know where I come from and what my story is. One day I met Will and he invited me to live in the forests with him.I dont remember anything before that."

"What are your plans, I mean do you want to accomplish anything?"
I asked curiously.

"Survive I would say"  Jack said.

Will wanted to be a cook he had already declared that. So now again we looked at Eric.

"Find my beginning" He said.

Wow that Guy is really cool. I mean I will never start anything but he is cool he could be a prince or so.

The looks the way of talk oooooh.
I have to keep my distance from this guy.
He was intimidating already and I didn't want to have any feelings that bring danger.

I know I need to find someone to ascend the throne but I really have to find a other way because who ever it will be one day shouldnt be forced to go through that torture. The chance of surviving that would be way to slim.

So I will stay like Single until I find a solution. Oh my I am thinking to much again.

Everyone was looking at me and I have no Idea why......what were we talking about?

"Uhm..." is all I said.

"C'mon you have to tell us your plans to."
Will said.

Ohhhhh right now I remember.

"So my Plan is to fullfill what my Father had started. We were pretty close to the princess and know that she and her family were forced into this.....
I will save her and her family if its the last thing I do."

I said in a heroic tone (i mean i think it sounded awesome)

"Why?"
Jack asked.

Oh right they hate the princess they could never understand me.

"Okay ,listen. I know everyone here thinks bad of aristocrats but like by normal people there are good and bad there to  and the princess was good......

She and I were very close friends and for her we trained we wanted to free her family. It is the only way to bring this Kingdom some peace again."

I explained slowly.

"Is there a way to save this Kingdom?"

Jack asked hoping.

"Yes, I assure you.
It might be to early to say this but you guys can join me. Remember one Person cant change much but all together can.
Think about it."

I invited.
