Chapter 7

Clarice's Pov:

The sun was setting and my conversation with Eric had finished.

I ...... i dont know how i should tell them who i am. The thing is I believe they still dislike the Vanderwoods especially when they find out that i am a Vanderwood.

They will think that the Vanderwoods are bad and i only spoke them good because I am one of them.

Why am I even thinking so much?!?

Who cares what people think. No one will ever be satisfied with you no matter what you do........

And even if someone is ...... then others will be against you.

I dont care what people think about me right?

Yes exactly because I will never be what they make me out to be.

So .....

What should i do?

Lets take the easy way out.

I will write them a Letter and ....... if they hate me afterwards ....

I .... will just leave.

Right! And I won't be sad about it because I don't need anyone i am fine on my own.... totally.

I learned that in these five years.

Something was rustling in the bushes. 
That brought me back to reality.

Everyone was sleeping around the fireplace. Only I was still awake and Eric..... he was probably wandering around somewhere. He did that often.

I took a Paper and a pen. 

Dear comrades,

I have something important to tell you. I wasn't quite honest about my Identity and figured that I should let you know before you would hear it from somewhere else.

I am Clarice Vanderwood, the daughter of Siegfried Vanderwood.

I was chased after because I am engaged to Bates , the current King of this country.

I wanted to get back my Kingdom with your  help but it is truly a dangerous journey.

For me to ascend the throne will cause many deaths. So if you do no longer want to join me in my quest due to feeling unsafe or betrayed, I understand completely.

This was okay. I guess.

I got up and put the note on the food basket.

Here they would definetely see it.

I layed down in order to sleep.
I layed on my left side.... then on my right...

I couldn't sleep.

The thoughts were rushing through my head and the anxiety was keeping me awake.

I saw the sun rising.....

I hadn't slept yet and they would soon wake up.

I decided to pack my stuff and hide.

I could see their reaction and if they hate me .... I -i .... will leave.

I packed my stuff quietly and sat in the tree above the food basket.

I leaned against the trunk while letting my legs hang down.

I was high enough they wouldn't see me.

"Hey , Guys you should see this."

I woke up from Will's call.

I saw the others gathering around the note that i had wrote.

Jack read it out loud and the others listened with shock in their face beside Eric's. He mostly had the same bored expression.

After he finished reading everyone was silent.

"I don't understand why she lied to us."
Will said.

"Right I told her my secret and she lied to me , i mean thats so weird. Why did I even trust her? " ignez exclaimed.

I started jumping to the next tree. They definetely didnt want me here anymore.

"I agree it takes much to let me take my guard down and..... I did take it down around her ......  i don't know what to say about this." Jack said.

See thats what I thought. I climbed down by the next tree and walked away as I heard Eric's Voice. He actually never joined our conversations. This was like the 6th time I heard him talking to  everyone.

"Guys, you should think about her position to. She has no one by her only us. She tries to forget all what had happend to her and help everyone even though she doesn't know how. She forgets her sadness by seeing the sadness of the others. Yes, she did a mistake but don't we all do mistakes?"

Woah did he really ..... did he just .. defend me? I thought he was disappointed in me to.....

"Well, where is she now?"
Ignez asked.

"Right did she already leave?"

Jack asked.

"Yep she heard what Jack, Will and Ignez said from the tree and then ran off. I don't know if she heard the rest of the conversation or where she is now." Rain replied distantly.

"Are u serious?!?!? Why didnt u tell us before?" Jack yelled annoyed.

"It wouldn't be helpful to us anyway cause we were to selfcentered at that point." Will explained calmly.

"Lets go search for her before she is to far away. I mean we all like her even if we only know her for a day or two."

Ignez said  empowering.

They all started searching as I hid in a blueberry bush and finished two hands full of them.

Everyone searched except Eric he just waited for the others to leave and stared in my direction.

" So what's your Plan?" He asked me as everyone disappeared.

I climbed out of the bush.

"Thank you for standing up for me. "

I really didnt expect him to do that.

" hm. You wanna call them back or wait until they arrive in the evening exhausted and sad because they didn't find you?"

"Hehe i would love to do the second part but the first seems more proper."

"Okay then .... lets go."

So guys here is the next part. I know i get really less views lately but I started liking my story and someone put my story to their readinglist so I feel very empowered. Also I am working on some other stories so sorry if I get a little late.
