"What do you mean that it doesn't lead home? i said shakily.
He was still catching his breath and he looked extremely worried.
"i dont know how else to do this, that portal led to a coordinate that no one knows, when we tried to locate it, it was somewhere in the middle of the arcadian sea."
"WHAT?!" i choke out."there has to be an island or something there right?"
"not that we know of, but we are going to do everything we can to get them back."
"I'm going." i said resolutely as i grabbed the few things that i came with "i should have never let them go without me. this is all my fault."
"I don't know how my father will feel about this but ill try to get leave for you to come with us." he said.
"i dont care what your father says, i HAVE to go." i say letting the realization of the situaion hit me.
"Me too. im strong and i know about the ocean, ill be a good help. theyre my friends too and they mean more to me than anything." he said grabbing my hand and standing next to me strongly.
I just stood there with my eyes pleading for me.
i see his eyes shift to mine and jakes clenched hands and sadness flash across his face followed directly by indifference and coldness.
"I'll see what i can do." he said with a tinge of pain in his voice. he bowed and walked away.
