"I'm sorry sir, we didn't find anything. It seems like the man has been swiped off the world's book" a woman's gentle voice speaks from the other end of the line, the tone as friendly as possible. V lets out a frustrated sigh and squints his eyes shut tightly, the information killing his brain cells.
He knew to wait for this and now that it's confirmed that Jeon Byuk can't be found in any registers in Korea, he definitely has something strong against the man in law. It's not normal to not have your name booked after borning.
There's no other explanations than him living in another country for a very long time, even though he is full Korean by blood. It's actually pretty common that people move from their home country and change nationalitys, but the fact that his name isn't in any books of Korean popility is odd.
Like even the books from when he was born... His profile doesn't tell about him changing names either and there goes the only thing that could be a possible mislead in this story. How come there was so little amount of information about him in anywhere, when he literally owned a well coping company in Japan?
The profile V had was everything anyone knew about the man. They had spent a year, finding possible evidence that the man had stealed from V's dad's company and now that the information had been found, the idiot assistant went and screwed up everything!
The evidence must be found as fast as possible so they can maybe find more information on the man through them. Something like his personal bank account and his register in Japan. Was the man even in Korea legally right now?
V knows the man, Jeon Byuk has two sons and their age difference is about two to three years, judged by the picture they found. They have no idea who is the mom of the sons and whatever they are blood related or not.
Clearly the dad wasn't at least in straight contact with his children so they are very hard to find too. Maybe if they found the boys, they would get some information from them, but that wasn't promised either.
If the boys were young when the dad left, they probably didn't have much memories of him and when they aren't in contact with him either, in that case they wouldn't be much of a help.
The picture they have, must have been taken when the boys were about four to five years old. And that makes it a good chance of the dad leaving when the boys were a little older than that or at least as old as that. Maybe the older son has some memories of him after all? Of course these were just guessings, and they can't be sure of anything.
